1 SPRINT RELEASE 4.0 CONTROL PANEL UPDATE (includes 3.9 update) VAR DYNAMICS

2 SPRINT 4.0 Please note a number of control panel enhancements and adjustments below. Over the course of this update, we ve added a number of automation updates to onboarding, auto-provisioning, and customer sign-up. We ve added a pricing catalog and made design updates to the proposal generator and About Company section. 3 Multiple User Log-ins General Partners now have the ability to have multiple user log-ins. Your users will log-in with as opposed to To begin taking advantage of this new feature, you will need to create yourself as a Customer first. HOW TO SET-UP YOURSELF AS A CUSTOMER: 1. In your Partner Control Panel (indicated by the top right P icon), click on Create New Customer under the MY CUSTOMER section in your left hand navigation. 2 P a g e

4 Once you ve provisioned yourself as a new customer, you will want to log-in to your account by selecting yourself in the Customer List under the MY CUSTOMERS section of your left navigation. 3 P a g e

5 Now that you are logged-in as a Customer, you can set-up your users and/or edit current users. What you populate the log-in dictates your user s log-in. The new feature also provides the ability to set user rights. In order to do so: 1. Navigate to Partner Configuration > Control Panel Users under your Partner CP. 2. Select the Customer account that was just created as the Default Account 3. Refresh to allow the user list to populate (and/or log into the Customer to create users) Return to Partner Configuration > Control Panel Users and select which portions of the Control Panel those users will have access to. 4 P a g e

6 Customer Sign-Up Form New Customer Sign-Up Form can be embedded into your Website. This feature allows potential customer prospects to sign-up directly via your domain. The form verifies that the domain isn t already established. When a customer signs-up, the Technical contact on your account will receive an automated to approve the customer before the customer can provision services or add users. You can change this in your Account Information screen. PARTNER "Congratulations! You have a new Customer request Primary domain of new Customer is: request.primarydomain To verify and approve this web request please see list of customers. Please note: the customer will remain in suspended mode until the account set-up is either approved or declined. For questions please contact support@vardynamics.com." CUSTOMER We are currently generating your credentials and verifying your account. Once this is done, you will receive a Welcome Letter with all the pertinent information to get started. PLEASE REFERENCE THE DOCUMENT IN THE ORIGINAL COMMUNICATION TO DOWNLOAD THE PARTNER MANUAL TO ADD THE SIGN-UP PLUG IN TO YOUR SITE. IMPORTANT: THE ONLY THING THAT NEEDS CHANGED IN THIS CODE IS THE UI LINK (WITHIN THE THREE PLACES OF THE CODE). QUICK TIP: Did you know that you can check the provisioning status of your CRM service for a customer by clicking on the pending icon in the customer list? 5 P a g e

7 HOW TO APPROVE THE CUSTOMER 1. In your Partner Control Panel, log-in to your Customer List under your MY CUSTOMERS in the left navigation. 2. Highlight the new customer and select Edit Customer You will see your new customer marked as SUSPENDED. Once in the Edit Customer Screen, you will notice a switch activated to Suspend Customer. Switch this to OFF to enable / approve the customer. AFTER THE CUSTOMER IS APPROVED, THEY WILL RECEIVE AN AUTOMATED WELCOME LETTER WITH ALL THE PERTINATE INFORMATION FOR THE CUSTOMER TO PROCEED. NOTE: PLEASE SEE ONBOARDING FOR DETAILS ABOUT CUSTOMIZING AND AUTOMATING THESE LETTERS. 6 P a g e

8 Partner Configuration Account Information We ve updated the About Our Company section in your Account Information screen to provide better data entry and viewing. Customer Configuration Navigation Menu STILL IN PRODUCTION: We have introduced a pricing mechanism within the Control Panel allowing Partners to hide or expose pricing at both a Global and Customer Level. You can access this feature via the Navigation Menu under Customer Configuration. 7 P a g e

9 Pricing Catalog By turning the pricing catalog on in your Navigation Menu, all your customers will be exposed to a pricing catalog within their control panel under the MY CATALOG section. PHASE II scheduled for our next Sprint Release, will allow you to dictate pricing which will populate this catalog. **PLEASE be sure to click Update Customer Menu to save changes. 8 P a g e NOTE: If you ve turned on the pricing catalog in the navigation menu and there happens to be a customer that does not see it, you ve customized that particular customer and it cannot be overridden at a global level. To enable the catalog you will need to edit that particular customer at the customer level.

10 Onboarding The Onboarding Section located in the left navigation under the Customer Configuration Section allows you to globally automate the Welcome and Service set-up letters that your customers and users of the customer receive. To automate these letters, turn them on. You can view these letters by clicking on the bulleted links to the right of the screen. You can customize the Service Set-up letter however this needs to be done in your Hosted Services Catalog also located in the Customer Configuration section of your left hand navigation. Customize your Service Set-Up Letters here. View your Welcome Letters here. WELCOME LETTERS (Customer and User) You can resend Welcome Letters manually to the default address on the customer account or alternative user . TO SEND CUSTOMER WELCOME LETTER: Go to your customer list, highlight the particular customer, click edit customer. Under the General Tab you can re-send the letter. 9 P a g e

11 TO SEND USER Set-Up LETTER: Log-in as the customer, click on User List under MY USERS in the left navigation. Each user has a resend Welcome Letter option as shown below. SERVICE SET-UP LETTERS Customize your Service Set-Up Letters here. This letter is automatically sent to admin user of the customer that is provisioning new services. Currently these letters are ready for automation with the remaining services coming soon: Exchange 2013 SharePoint 2013 SmarterMail CRM 2015 Amtel MDM Intronis Proposal Generator We have updated our Proposal Generator. The tool, found under Partner Tools in your left hand navigation has been updated to sync with your Hosted Services catalog. What this means is that your teams will only be able to quote out services you ve administered and allowed to be sold. We ve also included a pricing feature that shows what your cost is and what the recommended MSRP is for your customers all with live editable capabilities. You can choose to show pricing or not as well as add custom fields. The design and format is now updated to represent a more modern proposal once generated to match the Service Brochures within the ReadyNow section. Like before, you can choose include the associated Service Brochure or not. Additional feature updates include: Image selection Color picker Customize messaging Option to show quantity 10 P a g e
