2 WHAT S NEW ON FLIPKART? Flipkart launched GST Genie program to handhold sellers to become Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliant. From July 1, 2017, the GST law will come into effect and sellers need to clearly understand the framework and its implications. Flipkart GST Genie will help sellers understand everything about GST and its benefits. This program will give sellers a complete guide to GST including obtaining GSTIN number, updating the same on Flipkart portal, tagging HSN code to listings and much more. Here s what we are doing: Content Creation: We have created multi-lingual content, giving an overview of how GST will affect the nation and what advantages this law will bring to the country. We have also created e-commerce specific content and described how GST will affect online sellers in the country. We are now building content on the actionable items for sellers to become GST compliant on Flipkart platform. It covers how to update GSTIN on the seller dashboard, understand which HSN code corresponds to their products and other aspects. Sellers will be trained through various channels like: s: We have already started educating sellers through s on how sellers need to be GST compliant.

3 Seller Community and Social Media: We have a vibrant Seller Community with more than 35,000 active sellers engaging with each other. Our Facebook page - Flipkart Seller Hub has more than 26,000 followers and we are active on Twitter as well with more than 3,200 followers. We will be providing news and updates on GST through all our digital channels so that sellers are well informed. Classroom Training: We are collaborating with partners and will start conducting training sessions across the country. We will also connect sellers with domain experts in major cities so that they can help sellers become GST compliant.the training will cover the following aspects of GST: Basic Concepts Impact on e-commerce industry Flipkart specific changes Online Tutorials: We have created a dedicated GST Category on the SLC for sellers to get educated on their own. We will also be creating modules and quizzes on the newly launched Smart Learn through which sellers can learn and get certified on GST. Webinars: The team has already started conducting webinars to train sellers on GST. More than 300 sellers have already attended these free sessions and we will increase the frequency as we get nearer to the launch day.there are 4 webinars scheduled for May. Seller Events: We are conducting seller events throughout the country from April to June to make sellers aware of all the changes they have to make due to GST. We will be covering more than 20 locations with an average audience of around 100 seller at each location. Flipkart Group Discussions: We are regularly conducting discussions with select group of sellers to understand their pain areas around GST and solve for them. We have product owners giving live demos of their new launches and taking feedback from sellers.

4 Updating GSTIN on Seller Dashboard All sellers need to mandatorily update their GSTIN numbers on the seller dashboard by 30th June. You will have to go to Manage profile and update the required field there. Sellers will not be able to conduct business without updating their valid GSTIN numbers. Please update it if you haven t done so already! HSN code tagging To become GST complaint and conduct business with ease, sellers need to mandatorily tag HSN codes to their product listings present on Flipkart. HSN is Harmonized System of Nomenclature code that is used for classifying the goods under the Goods and Service Tax (GST). For sellers to update HSN codes without much hassle, Flipkart has added the required field on the listings tab where sellers can select appropriate HSN codes and tag their products. Business Hours During the month of April, Flipkart conducted Business Hours to brief sellers about Goods and Services Tax (GST) and upcoming May Sale (marking the 10 year completion of Flipkart). Face to face meeting with leaders helped sellers speak about their concerns and share their feedback. Our leaders also spoke about the new product launches and gave business tips on readiness for May Sale and GST. These were organized in six cities: Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

5 WHAT S IMPROVED ON FLIPKART? Payments Dashboard Wouldn't it be great to get all your payment details on a single page? Yes, it would, and thus, we have come up with the revamped payments dashboard, where you can get a summary of your payment details with just one glance. With the new payments dashboard, understanding payments will become easier and knowing the net payout at an item level will become much simpler. Now enjoy single-screen access to track any orders or services like - Orders, SPF, Storage, Recall, Ads, and TDS. Listings Template Tagging the right attributes for your products is always a difficult task, isn't it? To reduce your pain, we have made some changes to the Listings template. Now, you can tag the right attribute with your products easily by selecting the right options from the pre-populated list. Accurate tagging will help the products get filtered on the right page resulting in better visibility. Price Recommendation Flipkart introduced the Price recommendation section where you can easily check our recommneded prices for your products and update them accordingly. Many sellers have reaped the benefits of the reduced Rate Card by updating their prices with our recommended prices and have enjoyed a huge spike in sales.

6 GLIMPSES OF THE FUTURE MAY Sale Are you ready for the grand Summer Sale? After the huge success of The Big Billion Days, May sale brings another opportunity for sellers to showcase new listings and increasing their sales. So keep your inventory intact, look out for our promotions communication and opt-in to make the most of this sale! My Promotions Tab Till now, Flipkart has been creating effective promotions for your listings but we have realized that you may want to create your own promotions. Thus, we are going to include a new feature under My Promotions, where you will be able to create your own, attractive promotions. With this, you will be able to customize offers and discounts and thus increase your sales. Archive Tab There are many sellers who have more than 1 lakh listings, however, not many of these products receive orders and it becomes cumbersome to keep track of their active listings. Hence, to make the Listings tab easier to manage, Flipkart is planning to build an archive tab, where you can move the inactive listings. Listings under the archive tab will remain inactive, and can be moved to Active state by you. This feature will help remove the clutter on Flipkart.com, thereby improving the browsing experience of the customers. Always remember, the number of orders is dependent on listing quality and not quantity.

I have been dealing in mobile phones since long and I purchase the inventory in huge quantity and get good deals from vendors. This helps me pass on the benefits to customers helping me stay competitive with other sellers. Also, I maintain good quality and packaging to avoid returns from the buyers. What is your suggestion for other sellers so that they can improve their business? My suggestion to them would be to maintain the quality of their products at competitive prices and monitor the business online very closely. How much would you rate your overall journey with Flipkart? I would rate Flipkart 10 out 10 if the turn around time is been revised on payments and listing new products is made easier. It has been a wonderful experience with Flipkart and I would like to rate it at 6 out of 10. How well has your Relationship account manager helped you grow your business? My Account manager (Ashwin) has been in contact with me every week and he has a major contribution in my growth on Flipkart. He helps me keep competitive prices, resolves issues as well has suggested me to list new products that are doing good with Flipkart.
