2 Note from the Director Greetings Retailers! Spring is a time of change and regrowth, so we feel it's a great time to shake things up a bit at the Wisconsin Lottery. We have several exciting changes coming your way in the next few months and I want to take a little time to share them with you. By now you have probably seen our new beneficiary ad playing on local television stations this winter. This is a special television spot for us because we used real Wisconsin players, retailers, and prize winners. This is just the first of three television spots you will see this year. The second will come out in early spring and the final one will debut in the fall. We are honored to showcase the people who make us who we are, so don't be surprised if you recognize someone in one of the ads. Cindy Polzin Lottery Director March New this month is our Multiplier Family of Games. What does that mean? We will be offering four scratch tickets at four different price points that have similar art and prize structures, giving them a "family" feel. The higher the price point, the higher the top prize. They offer a great opportunity to cross-sell games to players. Talk to your friendly Field Marketing Rep for display suggestions and additional information. After five years, we have decided to end the 5 Card Cash game (effective April 6, 2019). This will allow us to introduce an exciting new lotto game and play style, All or Nothing. There will be two ways to win the top prize - matching all 11 numbers or matching none of the numbers. Review the center spread on pages 4-5 for all the details. This will have a small ripple effect on our 10 Buck Luck package. Players will still receive tickets for all 8 of our lotto games; All or Nothing will take the place of 5 Card Cash. And don't forget, March is Problem Gambling Awareness month. We encourage our retailers to watch for the signs of a player in trouble and learn how to help. The Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling website has all of the resources you or a player needs. Visit their website at to find out more. On a leadership note, we have a new Department of Revenue Secretary, Peter Barca. See the message below from Secretary Barca. Thanks and enjoy Spring! A Message from Secretary Peter Barca It's terrific to be at the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. In my short time here, I have been busy getting to know each division of the department including the Lottery. From what I have seen, 2019 is shaping up to be another great year for the Lottery, its players, its retailers and Wisconsin homeowners. It is a distinct honor to be selected and to serve as a cabinet secretary for Governor Tony Evers. I am enthusiastic to have the opportunity to oversee this critical state agency, which impacts so many facets of our state and our economy. My priorities both as a state legislator and as a member of Congress have always been fostering economic development, helping to stimulate family supporting jobs, expanding the middle class, and assisting small business growth. I look forward to furthering those priorities in my new role as Secretary of the Department of Revenue. Peter Barca Department of Revenue Secretary I am excited about all of the good things happening this year in the Lottery including our web site redesign, our Lottery Beneficiary Campaign and our continuing partnerships with all of you. Thank you for all you do, and be sure to let us know how we can better serve you.
