1 2015 SUMMER INDUSTRY FORUM PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA JUNE 10 12, 2015 WESTIN CONVENTION CENTER HOTEL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10 3:00 pm 5:00 pm Reception at Bar Louie, Station Square Prior to the reception, take advantage of some free time to explore the City of Pittsburgh. Start with a visit to the Monongahela Incline, built by Jon Endres in 1870, located near the Smithfield Street Bridge. It is the oldest continuously operating funicular in the USA. It is also one of two surviving inclines (the other is the nearby Duquesne Incline) from the original 17 passenger-carrying inclines built in Pittsburgh starting in the late 19th century. Its lower station is across the street from the Station Square shopping complex and is easily accessible from the light rail system. After enjoying the amazing view from Mount Washington, take the incline back down and head over to Bar Louie (located in Station Square) to join your colleagues for some light food and drinks. 6:00 pm Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers (Optional) For those who elect to go to the game, we will take the Gateway Clipper river shuttle from Station Square to PNC Park for the Pirates game. PNC Park, which opened in spring 2001, is a classic-style ballpark (widely viewed as one of the finest parks in MLB). It is an intimate facility that embraces the progressiveness of Pittsburgh while saluting the spirit of early ballpark originals such as Forbes Field, Wrigley Field and Fenway Park. It is the fifth home of the Pittsburgh Pirates since the team s inception in This riverfront facility combines the best features of yesterday s ballparks - rhythmic archways, steel trusswork and a natural grass playing field - with the latest in fan and player amenities and comfort.
