After carefully reviewing a large number of applications, the Art Mart committee has selected the vendors for this event. Please save this document for future reference. If you would like to review the Guidelines for the Art Mart and Art Mart Underground again, they are still available at If the committee was unable to approve your application, we encourage you to learn about other art opportunities including future Art Marts that the Bath House Cultural Center will be offering soon. 6 Important information to remember Please remember the following dates: AUCTION DONATION DROP-OFF Due by Wednesday, November 19, 2014 (5 PM). Please know that it is important that we get your donations on time so we can set up the auction on the Thursday before the Art Mart. Thank you for your cooperation. The silent auction donation is in addition to the booth fee requirement. Vendors will not be allowed to participate in the Art Mart if they do not provide an auction item by the designated date. The Bath House will accept donations during regular office hours, Tuesday-Saturday from 12 to 6 PM. When you drop off your auction item, please attach a sheet with your name, the title of your donation, a description of the medium used, and the value of the donation, to make sure your item is listed accurately. NOTE: Artists who live outside of the DFW area should contact the Bath House to make special arrangements to deliver/ship their donations. SETUP SCHEDULE Friday, November 21, 2014 All the artists will be able to load in and set up their booths between 1 and 7 PM. The Bath House will be closed to the public and to the artists before 1 PM. The BHCC will host a preview reception on Friday from 7 to 9 PM. Many people purchase artwork from the Art Mart artists on the night of the reception. SALE SCHEDULE Saturday, November 22, 2014 Doors will open to Vendors at 11 AM. Doors will open to the public at 12 PM. Saturday's sale will end promptly at 6 PM. Sunday, November 23, 2014 Doors will open to Vendors at 11 AM. Doors will open to the public at 12 PM. The silent auction will close at 5 PM. The sale will end promptly at 6:00 PM. ART LOAD-OUT Without exception, all spaces must be completely cleared by 7 PM on Sunday. If you anticipate that it will take you a long time to take down your booth, please start loading out ahead of time. Artists using the walls for hanging art are responsible for removing any hardware (nails, screws, hooks, staples, tape, wire, etc.) and for repairing holes from the walls at the end of the event. 7 PUBLICITY 5 x 7 postcard invitations will be available to promote the event. Please feel free to stop by and pick up some cards if you wish to advertise the Art Mart to your mailing list. We are open Tuesday-Saturday from12 to 6 pm. Cards will become available on Tuesday, November 4, If you would rather use or an online social network such as Facebook to promote the Art Mart, you can visit to download a digital version of the postcard. This file will be posted online on Saturday, October 25, 2014). The information about the Art Mart has been submitted to Art&Seek. After they approve the listing, they will post the information on both artandseek.org and on our website, We will also post an Art Mart press release at for distribution to the media. We plan to do an blast to our mailing list, too. In addition to the postcards, we will also have yard signs (18" x 24") to promote the event. Let us know if you would like to get one, too. If you get a sign, please make sure that you place it in a private property. The Department of Code Enforcement will fine the Bath House if the signs are placed in an illegal location. FYI - City of Dallas code: Signs (Section 3, 7A-16 and 51A) It is a violation of the City code to post any signs (notices, posters or other paper devices) on a utility pole, lamp post, shade tree; public structure or building or on the City's right-of-way or median except as may be authorized or required by law. This includes garage sale signs. Even if you don't live in Dallas, it is likely that your city has a similar rule. OTHER INFORMATION If you were assigned a booth that has a price lower than what you paid us, we will give you a refund check on the weekend of the Art Mart to compensate you for the overpayment. Unfortunately, the layout of the booth cannot be altered after the committee has assigned locations for the artists. If you were given a space that is not to your satisfaction, you may opt out of the event by contacting the Bath House Cultural Center immediately, and we will assign the booth space to another artist. We hope that you are happy with your booth location and that you enjoy your experience with the Art Mart. Please let me know if you have any questions.
