2 Further development of reel machine SMR-L The modern reel machine features a high degree of flexibility. Ancillary equipment options enable the production of various products such as car seat covers, textile covers, hospital bed covers, sheets, pallet covers or square bottom bags. With the semi-automatic Rewinder ABW/A the entire production process can take place 1- or 2-track. For large lot sizes we recommend our fully automatic single track Rewinder ARW with paper core feed. The product range is virtually unlimited. The depth of the folds can be adjusted variably up to a maximum of 250 mm. 2 Manual cross adjustment Rewinder The first time a manual and easily movable crossadjustment device has been fitted to the Rewinder to position the winding station(s) to the film.

3 4New sealing impulse control Further development of reel machine SMR-L 15 % 0 % 3 Square bottom sealing unit-servo, 2-track With this unit side square bottom bags, 1- or 2-track can be produced. Welding takes place from above and below to achieve a high quality weld. The welding device can be infinitely adjusted to the machine centre. The sealing impulse control is a microcontroller controlled device to realize an impulse seal with heating wires. The communication with the higher level controller for the adjustment of the parameters as well as monitoring is done via a bus system. An important advantage of the bus communication is to save all the sealing parameters in a recipe together with other product specific adjustments. This means, after product change and selection of a recipe saved before, all impulse sealing parameters are adjusted automatically, separately for each station. Rewinder ABW/A semi-automatic The new servo drives of the two welding stations improve the settings for the winding system and guarantee a higher accuracy of the finished roll edge. The Rewinder, depending on the manufacturing scenario, can be used for 1- or 2-track production. Both winding stations can be used 5 independently. A further advantage is the transfer of the admittance of the main machine. Therefore shortening the set-up time leads to more effective production.

5 VArious Review of the in-house exhibition in Zwickau, März 2012 PLAST 2012 / 8th - 12th May 2012 in Milano Hall 15, Stand C23 Herbert Rörig Your contact for sales! Bottom weld machine BF 1300 / 1600 / 2100 with 1- or 2-times-folding The last in-house exhibition was a great success for all involved. The presentation of the AB 2000 SP U-Liner as well as the BSM 1300 LH2 encouraged many different conversations. Ideas and suggestions were exchanged and new contacts were made. We are particularly happy with two orders that we have generated with our customers at the fair. The European manufacturing industry is again the core at PLAST 2012, with the support of EUROMAP (Europe s Association for Plastics and Rubber Machinery Manufacturers). Original tailor made solutions for injection moulding, extrusion, thermoforming, welding, plastics packaging, blow moulding and bottling, auxiliaries, equipment and moulds. It is an advanced experience for the processing industry with a problem solving approach offering a wide variety of reliable cutting edge technologies. With many years of experience in the plastic industry and his expertise around plastic machinery Herbert Rörig the perfect partner for our customers. To standard applications as well as customized systems and auxiliary equipment Herbert Rörig advises competently and comprehensively. He is responsible for the sales of the brands HETTLER Systeme and GÜNTER Kunststoffmaschinen. The new bottom sealing machine BF replaced successfully the former model ELB/FA. It can be used for bag lengths from mm (optional up to 3500 mm) and for film thicknesses from 2 x 0,006 to 4 x 0,180 mm. This modern machine is characterized by some practical improvements, which are aimed at customer s requirements and involve new ideas with proven technology. The mounted features of the bottom weld sealing machine allows a more effective production, which thanks to the variety of additional equipment are optimal and efficient for the evolving market requirements. Probably as part of our next Open House we present a bottom weld machine BF 2100 with additional equipment such as economy and standard blocking, hole punching units and square bottom sealing unit. The date of the summer house-exhibition is not known yet. But today it is certain that the participants can look forward to technically interesting hours and a special highlight of our current production. You are already welcome! 6 Obituary Friedhelm Dahl Born on 28 March 1950 Died on 22 February 2012 We say goodbye to our colleague and friend Friedhelm Dahl. Friedhelm worked for the company for more than thirty years. During his career with us he used his strength and knowledge as an engineer, manager and director for the good of the company and its customers success. In 2001 he took over the responsibility for the management of Günter Kunststoffmaschinen together with his business partner Alexander Crone-Rawe. Thereafter, Friedhelm was responsible as a management partner for the growing success of our company. With passion for his profession and with his human qualities he gained the full recognition and respect of his employees. His customers appreciated him primarily because of his great expertise, reliability and his negotiating skills. After a short, serious illness Friedhelm Dahl passed away shortly before his 62nd birthday. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. Friedhelm Dahl is no longer with us, but his spirit lives on and we will honour his memory.
