1 inhr award Conditions of Participation Preamble For the participation at the inhr award 2018 ( award ) the following conditions of participation are valid between SAP Switzerland, Leugenestrasse 6, 2504 Biel and the Deloitte Consulting AG, General Guisan-Quai 38, 8022 Zurich ( organiser ) as well as the participating individuals or teams ( participants ). Those conditions are accepted by the submission of the application forms. 1. Safety and implementing regulations With the submission of the application, the participants accept the existing safety and access regulations as well as other execution rules which are given by the organisers or through the applicable house rules at the event location. The participants take note that each participant who does not comply with the regulations can be excluded from the inhr award and its events without any compensation claims. 2. Eligibility to participate Eligible to participate are all natural persons aged 18 domiciled in Switzerland. Each individual is only able to participate with one application. The necessary information handed in by the participant has to be complete and truthful. The participation is free of charge and free of any purchase obligation. It does not contain any obligation to accept the award. 3. Application process The number of applications for the inhr award 2018 is not limited. Several applications from one company can be submitted in one or several categories. Applications from companies which provide a jury member (including SAP, Deloitte, NZZ and HSG) are also accepted. In this case, the jury member of this company is not participating in the evaluation of these particular applications. A withdrawal of applications for the award is not possible. After the submission of the application documents via inhraward@sap.com the application is obligatory and will be part of the evaluation process. 4. Evaluation process The submitted applications will be evaluated by the jury applying the following four criteria: 1

2 The selection of the winning teams is at the sole discretion of the jury. The decision of the jury is final and shall not be subject to an appeal. Any recourse to courts of law is excluded. 5. Events This includes the Top 3 event as well as the inhr award ceremony. The participants submit their application for the inhr award within the application deadline until the 31 st of July Subsequently the jury assesses the submitted application (see section 4). The top three applications per category will be chosen and invited to the Top 3 event which takes place on the 27 th of September. The applying companies receive the opportunity to shortly present their project in front of the jury during the Top 3 event and will answer clarifying questions. Following 2

3 the presentations, the jury choses on winner for each category. The invitation for the Top 3 event will be provided in writing until the 24 th of August The participants are obligated to accept or reject the invite to the Top 3 event within 5 working days. The inhr award ceremony takes place on the 25 th of October 2018 in Zurich. Embedded in a suitable fringe event, the winning company per category will be awarded the inhr award in front of the invited audience. Each winning team is obligated to provide a representative who participates during the award ceremony, accepts the award publicly and shortly presents the winning concept to the audience. Each winning team will be informed about the price latest on the 5 th of October 2018 and has 5 working times to accept or reject the price and the invitation to the award ceremony. The attendance of this event is by invitation only which is provided through the inhr organisations. Invited individuals and teams have to reply in writing to accept the participation for the event. In case of cancellation, this must be provided in writing to inhraward@sap.com and has to be sent no later than 48 hours before the award ceremony is taking place. The organisers reserve the right to postpone, displace or cancel the event. Additionally, they reserve the right to change the speakers or the event sequence. Particularly, in case of a low number of participants, short-term absence of speakers, force majeure or other factually justified reasons. With the postponement of the event, the registration is automatically valid for the deferral date. In this case, the organisers are not obligated to reimburse travel or overnight costs, loss of working hours or other damages. 6. Prices Each winning team per category, in total three winning teams, will enjoy the following prices: 1. A joint orientation day with the winning teams of all categories after the inhr award ceremony. The winners will participate in exciting lectures on innovative HR topics and will be able to network with subject matter experts. The half-day event will finish with an Apéro. 2. A Design Thinking Workshop with suitable experts is tailored to a relevant topic for each winning team. On the basis of the orientation day and the interests and challenges of each winning team the experts of the inhr organisations (SAP, Deloitte, NZZ and HSG) develop a tailored Design Thinking Workshop for the relevant subject. The participants will get to know different Design Thinking methods in the course of the workshop and with this will develop initial solutions and simultaneously learn how to apply the methods by on their own going forward. The prices will be offered as material price and no cash payment or exchange of the price is possible. Potential travel costs will be paid by the participants. The prices are personal and can only be used by the winning teams. The eligibility to use the price requires the fulfilment of all conditions from participants side. The winning teams will be informed personally or via until the 5 th of October If the precise date for the delivery of the Design Thinking Workshop is not fixed within 90 working days after the award ceremony took place or if the winning team is not reachable within this time period, the price expires. In case the notification cannot be delivered based 3

4 on wrong or missing data given in the application form, the price expires as well. In case the price is not available based on incidents the organisers cannot influence, the organising companies reserve the right to offer a similar price in exchange. 7. Exclusion from the inhr award Automatically generated entries and submissions as well as technical manipulations are excluded from the application process and the events. The organisers reserve the right to exclude participants from the inhr award and its events in case of manipulation, attempted manipulation or suspicion of manipulation without a need of further requirements. This includes false statements, violation of rights of third parties, usage of unfair practices or participation due to unethical reasons. If the conditions for an exclusion are met, prices can be subsequently revoked and the costs of prices already delivered can be claimed back. In case an already chosen winner is excluded, the organisers reserve the right to announce a replacing winner. 8. Information about the usage of data and data protection The inhr award is an initiative of the organisers (Deloitte and SAP) jointly with three additional partners Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Forschungsinstitut für Arbeit und Arbeitswelten der Universität St. Gallen (HSG) as well as HR Today ( media partner ). During the application and evaluation process as well as the inhr award ceremony, the participants data (incl. name, function, company name, address) will be collected, saved and processed. The data will be used for the adaptation and evaluation of the applications of the inhr award as well as the execution and follow-up work. The disclosure of the participants data is possible. The organisers reserve the right to disclose the collected data to their group company. In the context of the inhr events, the data provided by the participants might be shared with fellow teams. Additionally, the organisers reserve the right to use the participants data for internal purposes as well as promotion for similar events taking place in the future. All information of the participants can be used for marketing purposes (e.g. newsletters) of the organisers. The participants can stop the usage of their data for marketing purposes by sending a notification to the organisers via the address inhraward@sap.com. The participants hereby agree to the data usage for the above mentioned purposes without additional compensation or separate consent. 9. Film footage and photographic material The participants agree that film footage and photographic material produced during the inhr award and its events containing participants can be used for the purpose of public reporting, coverage on the website of the inhr award (inhraward.ch) as well as reporting of the organisers of the inhr award. The organisers reserve the right to use the footage for internal purposes or for their own marketing purposes. 10. Intellectual property rights The participants grant the right to the organisers and their partners to use pre-existing intellectual property right (especially included in the application or presentations) as needed for the time of the inhr award. The right for the usage is limited in time and purpose to the execution of the inhr award and its events. 4

5 Intellectual property rights which are developed by the participants during the inhr award and its events are exclusively hold by the organisers. Where required, the organisers are granting the participants the right to use the intellectual properties. These rights are limited in time and purpose and can be revoked at any time. The organisers and their partners do not grant the participants any intellectual property or usage rights. 11. Exclusive of liability The liability of the organisers in regards to direct or indirect damages as well as consequential losses faced by the participants in connection to the organisation or execution of the inhr award are, to the extent permitted by the law, excluded. In particular, the organisers are not liable for damages and consequential losses based on termination, cancellation or postponement of the events or shortcomings of the organisation. The insurance of personal injuries or material damage is duty of the participants. Claims for damages and any other claims are subject to statutory limitation. 12. Applicable law and court of jurisdiction For the contractual relationship as well as any disputes between participants and the organisers the Swiss law applies, without application of the conflict-of-law rules and the UN sales law. Exclusive jurisdiction for all disputes in connection with this agreement is Zurich-1, Schweiz. The organisers reserve the right to adjust the conditions of participation any time without prior notice. 5
