2 Our background Henry Lamotte, a merchant from Bremen, founded Henry Lamotte Import/ Export in 1925 and initially concentrated on trading in fish oils. Henry Lamotte, the company founder The first company head office in Kornstraße in Bremen Hans Henry Lamotte, the founder s son, took over the company in The post-war years in Germany provided the right conditions for expansion and he laid the foundations for the company to become what it is today, an important player in the market place. Shortly after taking over the company, he expanded the product range by adding vegetable oils; this was then followed by the introduction of the first plant-based foodstuffs. The current management team of the group includes the founder s grandsons Otto and Henry Lamotte and his great-grandson Hermann Bosse. They take great pride in continuing to uphold the Hanseatic principles laid down by their forefathers: hard work, dependability, conscientiousness and a sense of responsibility, cosmopolitanism and identifying with the company s roots are still the key values of the Henry Lamotte Group and underpin its success. 3 Our characteristics Today the Group comprises Henry Lamotte Food GmbH and Henry Lamotte Oils GmbH, a leading supplier and producer of oils, waxes and seed flour as well as colours and flavourings. Both companies are supported internally by Henry Lamotte Services GmbH. Henry Lamotte Food GmbH is a leading supplier to the food manufacturing industry and the food trade. Many well-known customers use our quality products and services. We rely on fair and sustainable business relationships, in which we never lose sight of people whether employees, customers, suppliers or service-providers.
