17 CASE STUDIES Summary Westminster College was the official education partner of U.S. Ski and Snowboard in 2017/2018 and it has over 50 national team athletes who attend the institution. For the university, location and proximity to the mountains and access to skiing is everything. In 2018, 18 student athletes competed in the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. Their goal in working with Ski Racing Media? To draw on our niche audience of ski racers and esteemed recreational skiers who have hopes of attending college where they can continue skiing or pursue their racing careers. Westminster approached Ski Racing Media with the goal of increased exposure and ultimately, increased admission numbers that target the ski racing and recreational skiing audience that our publication reaches. We developed a strategic and creative dedicated eblast that was distributed to over 15k subscribers. The package was coupled with banner ads that re-directed readers back to Westminster s website during the 2018 Pyeong Chang Olympics.

To support this mission, the company has maintained a long-standing sponsorship of the U.S. Ski Team s men s downhill team, nicknamed The American Downhillers. Ski Racing Media developed a concept for, filmed, produced, and distributed a documentary-style video series about the American Downhillers for POC during the 2017 season.
