2 Note from Wayne: In 2005 I created my first info product a wonderful e-book about How to Get Featured on Radio Shows as an expert and a guest. I quickly realized I was not going to make it rich through sales of an e-book. (Yes I know, there are some people out there that have created books that have gone viral and they now live on a multi-million $$$ Yacht. But that wasn t me.) Selling e-books a month at $17 wasn t going to help raise a family so I needed to create something more. I took the e-book contents and developed a 5-week live coaching course. THAT worked out great and brought in a LOT more cash than a simple e-book. My next strategy was to take content from the live coaching program and move that into a home study course with a Printed Manual and 4 CD s. And that s where the magic in my business truly happened! I was then able to speak for free and sell home study programs after every speech! What I liked about this: I could ALWAYS add bonuses or take away bonuses in order to fit the perfect price point of whomever I was speaking to. I still sell this same home study course while doing teleseminars and webinars with others. The only thing is I converted it to digital form and made it a digital download. Now people can listen and learn while they are out walking the dog or driving to work. And it s all pure profit! Info Products are KEY to your Business Success! It doesn t matter where people hear about you Social Media, Speaking, Webinars, Word of mouth they will always check you out on your website and check your credibility. What is the one problem you can solve for your ideal client? If your homepage does its job, someone will sign up for your Free Opt In and, whammo, you are now on your way to building a relationship with that prospective client or customer. You have one shot to dazzle the person with some great content but what s next?

3 Will they jump and purchase your $2500 consulting package? Or is it easier for them to test drive you with a lower priced program? Putting together the proper lower-priced item can lead to higher-end products. If they like you, and your content solves their problem, they will call you! In this Resource Guide, I will share 5 strategies that can help you make money with your info products before they are even released. STRATEGY 1 Presell to your list and client base. Inform your clients and list that you will be launching a brand new info product in 30 days. Go into as much detail about the benefits of this program as you can. How will it help them, what is the goal of it and how will it work exactly? Let them know how excited you are and that you are taking pre-orders to pay for the production costs. If they pay now and are willing to wait the 30 days, you ll make them an exclusive Special Offer of 50% off the retail cost of the program PLUS you will include a private consulting or strategy session as a Super Bonus. ANOTHER IDEA Offer the Info Product PLUS include a special group coaching session for the first 40 people who take part in this deal. (So they purchase the product at a discount plus get an incredible value from you as a bonus It could be coaching or it could be an older program. It s all up to you!) Retail for the program will be $147 with the Bonus coaching Value of $300 and they get it all for $77 NOW THAT s an EASY sale! The math $77 x 40 sales = over $3000!

4 STRATEGY #2 Testimonials This strategy is similar to strategy #1, but instead of saying you are raising capital to create a new product, you are offering the same deal but looking for their testimonials instead. Testimonials will help sell your programs and it s always best to only post testimonials from paying clients! Again, offer a discount, and a group tele-program to walk people through your new info-product. Show them how to get the most out of it and then have them share the results. You want Raving Fans! STRATEGY #3 Kickstarter Campaign So why won t they back you? Kickstarter is a global crowdfunding platform focused on creativity. The company s stated mission is to help bring creative projects to life. Kickstarter has reportedly received more than $1.9 billion in pledges from 9.4 million backers to fund 257,000 creative projects, such as films, music, stage shows, comics, journalism, video games, technology and food-related projects. To see how this works and look at examples, check out the current projects at I ve seen people raise capital for trips, education, and books just to name a few things. It s a great platform! You will need to really be articulate in what you are creating and why it s a worthy project to invest in, but that s easy if you look at many of the great examples already on the Kickstarter website.

5 STRATEGY #4 SPONSORSHIPS This is a great strategy if you know of a company that could benefit and/or compliment what you teach. In a way, this could be similar to Licensing but I think it s a bit easier for the everyday entrepreneur. A friend of mine didn t have the money to finish his book so he added a sponsor who paid for the book. In exchange, the sponsor received a wonderful thank you page at the front of the book raving about how they helped him out. He was endorsing their products and they were allowed to have a complimentary sheet at the back of the room when he was selling product after a speech. It was truly a win/win. STRATEGY #5 LIVE TRAINING My final strategy is exactly what I did. I created a sales letter and a rough outline of a 5-week group training class called How to Get ON-AIR Publicity. If you need revenue to create a program, why not offer a live program so you are building your content as you teach. Then at the end of the program, everyone gets a home-study version so they can learn and refresh anytime they need to. If it costs $1000 to create your info product, you only need 5 people to take your $200 training class to then pay for the project before it even starts. The big bonus here is: if no-one is interested in taking your live program, it might not be the perfect program for your clients. Always make sure you are creating something your ideal customer needs. I hope these 5 strategies give you some revenue-generating ideas. Of course, once the program is completed and ready for sale, you can sell it everywhere.
