Soldotna, AK The Kenai Peninsula Tourism Marketing Council (KPTMC) is in the process of planning for the 8th Annual Taste Of The Kenai, scheduled for March 24, 2018 at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex in the arena area. KPTMC created this event to highlight the unique culinary experiences on the Kenai Peninsula, connect with the community and encourage residents to frequent local businesses. Each year this is a sell out event, with 350 tickets sold and 27 vendors providing food and drink last year. We have participants from Seward to Homer and all points in between. We invite you to be part of the menu! The Taste of The Kenai showcases our culinary industry. We welcome our seafood processors, restaurants, caterers, wineries, breweries, coffee shops and cafes. This is a fun, eclectic event that highlights the unique food and drink offerings we have in our diverse communities. A silent auction fund-raiser featuring products and services will be done in conjunction with the event. Your presence at Taste of the Kenai will provide an opportunity to exhibit your menu, products, and services not only to the general public but to representatives from local travel, recreation and hospitality businesses as well. Event marketing will include traditional radio and newspaper advertising, in addition to being featured on the Taste of The Kenai website your business will also be featured on the Taste of The Kenai Event page which is linked to The Kenai, Alaska s Playground Facebook page, with over 63,000 fans. 2 Be a Part of The Menu At The 8th Annual Food and Spirit Tasting Event EVENT OVERVIEW: Date: Saturday, March 24, :00p.m. - 9:00p.m. at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex, in the arena area. Regional Kenai Peninsula focus with independently owned and operated establishments. Coffee shops, restaurants, caterers, wineries, breweries, seafood processors, etc. are all encouraged to participate. Vendors will serve a sampling (a minimum of 320 servings) of your signature product(s). Your participation at Taste of the Kenai will provide an opportunity to exhibit your menu, products and services on the Taste of The Kenai website and in person at the event. Vendors will be recognized in all website, social media, print, and radio advertising. Attendees will vote for their favorite entree, dessert and drink. Winners will be announced at the end of the evening and presented with a plaque for display. 100% of the proceeds will go towards marketing the Kenai Peninsula to the world.

3 Food and Spirit Tasting Event Vendor Information: Event will include a silent auction featuring donations from our member businesses throughout Alaska as well as raffles and door prizes drawn throughout the evening. All proceeds from The Taste of The Kenai will benefit the Kenai Peninsula tourism industry. We are requesting participating restaurant/spirit vendors consider donating a $100 gift certificate to be raffled during the evening. We will sell tickets for $10 for each chance to win. As an additional incentive, we are offering the opportunity to purchase a coupon in the 2018 Passport to Adventure on the Kenai for $250 to vendors who donate to the raffle. This is a $100 savings! 6 PASSPORT TO THE KENAI- Taste of The Kenai Special Distribution of the Passport to the Kenai targets travelers planning to visit this upcoming summer and encourages them to visit more communities in order to collect passport stamps. By collecting at least 10 stamps in 2018, participants are entered to win a week-long vacation prize package for The Passport also contains coupons for a wide range of products and services. These tear-out coupons are grouped together by community and provide a convenient way for advertisers to track their ROI. 20,000 Passports will be distributed beginning in April.
