9 SUMMARY OF FINDINGS London businesses are divided on whether or not the EU is important to their business as partners. Indirect effects of Brexit are more anticipated than direct effects, but businesses are far more likely to expect their relationship with the EU to worsen than improve. It is important for Brexit negotiations to achieve a range of outcomes, especially freedom to provide services, low levels of bureaucracy and free movement of capital and payments. Regulation, customs and financial services are issues expected to cause the most problems. Limited expectation to relocate staff, but where this happens businesses expect negative impacts on London staff capacity.
