3 The client is a prominent provider of material testing equipment that is sourced from all over the world and delivered to companies in India. The client was desirous of creating a professional brochure that highlighted the products that were being offered by them. Since, they have been in the industry for a sizable time period they were well aware of the various marketing tools available and were using all the conventional marketing tools to market their products and services. Out of the several marketing tools available they were also using a brochure for marketing purposes. However, the brochure that they were using was too generic and presented content in the form of a report. Their brochure did not have any appeal whatsoever. Hence, the brochure failed to capture the interest of their target audience and defeated the very purpose with which it was designed. Thus they were keen to have a brochure that conveyed a strong message to their target audience, in a crisp and captivating manner. The challenge here was that the client wanted a brochure that was concise while providing all the requisite information. As per their specification, the brochure was supposed to have only four pages. This was a unique challenge as the information available was extensive.

4 As Guires was presented with a unique problem, the solution that we came up with was also unique. Instead of referring to the existing brochure, we opted to create an entirely new brochure by assimilating relevant information about the organization, their products and compiling the information thus collected to create a brochure that was powerful, effective, conveyed the right information and conformed to the requirements of the client. The existing brochure that they had was rather bland. Welcome to the world of testing & inspection machines. We are an organization that has more than 25 years of experience in the sales and service of material testing & inspiration equipment in India and abroad. In contrast, we created a brochure that had an appealing colour and also used fonts that were captivating. Moreover, our brochure was cost effective as it was provided to the client at half the price that they had spent on their existing brochure.

We executed the task by capitalizing on our vast experience in creating top quality brochures and by utilizing our in-house team of content developers, designers and researchers. To start with, we created a detailed plan that outlined the steps that would be undertaken to execute the task. The foremost requirement for a brochure is content however, in this case there was no dearth of content. On the contrary, the content that was available was voluminous. The formidable challenge here was to sift the available data into that which could be used and data that could be excluded. The onus was on us to choose the data that would be used in the brochure. Moreover, we also had to consider the client s requirement which specified that the brochure should only comprise of four pages. Out of the four pages, two pages i.e., the first and the last page would comprise of the company title and the contact details respectively. This left us with only two pages in all, to fit the voluminous data along with the relevant images. At the same time we needed to ensure that the end product was crisp and clear. Planning Design Brochure Creation Data Collection Layout We used our technical expertise to determine the data that we wanted to showcase. In this case, the data pertained to products offered by the client. The client offered around material testing equipment to their customers. As we were constrained for space, we created a bullet list of all their equipments and at the same time we also highlighted five of their in-demand and prominent material testing equipment. To highlight the said five equipments, we provided a brief description of the equipment and also included a picture of the particular product. Following data compilation, our designers created a layout that would specify the placement of the text and the images. They also created a captivating design which would have the desired impact on the target audience. Thus, we were able to create a document that encapsulated all the relevant information but at the same time it was concise and conformed to the specifications set by the client. In the end, the client was thoroughly satisfied with the end product and highly appreciated the service that we rendered. The flow of the project is illustrated below:-
