25 The advantage of Capital IQ is that it provides financial ratios through the Ratios tab. The information found here is not available on the 10-K but, rather, they pulled the data from the 10-K to calculate the ratios. This could be very useful to you when you re doing your own analysis on the company s performance. Any value in blue is hyperlinked, which allows you to see the calculations of each ratio.

26 There is valuable information under CIQ Estimates menu, which provides forecasting information about a company (although no analyst commentary provided).

29 On the transaction screening page a predetermined set of criteria are given which you can edit if you d like. You can then view the results list.

30 To screen for M&A deals using specific criteria you can select transactions under the screening tab.

31 There are various criteria which you can select to create reports and spreadsheets. For example, you can screen for M&A transactions specifying the industry, size of company (e.g. revenues), multiples, dates, geographies, company type etc. Each criteria has variables which you can set. After selecting your criteria you can still modify your selections.

32 Sustainalytics Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reports Analyzes and evaluates North American public companies on ESG performance Highlights and assesses company involvement in controversies and incidents

33 Search for a company in two ways We have access to those companies that are hyperlinked in turquoise/green. We do not have access to content that is greyed out.

34 After selecting the company, you will be brought to this page under the company overview tab. This provides a description of the company and ESG average score. You can select The ESG Rating, controversies and compliance tabs to get further information.

35 This is an example of what information the ESG rating section provides. You can further select environment, social and governance tabs to get further details on the scoring.
