5 INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING YOUR TOBY ENTRY All entries (TOBY bks) need t be submitted by 4 PM n Friday, Octber 30, 2015 in rder t be judged fr the lcal cmpetitin. This page is full f imperative infrmatin, s please read! Start tday! 1. G t BOMA Internatinal s TOBY Awards nline applicatin at 2. On the left side f the page, click n Register t create yur nline accunt and yur building entry. Yu will need t knw yur BOMA Internatinal Membership ID number, which can be fund n the mailing label f mst mailings frm BOMA Internatinal, r yu can call the BOMA Greater Minneaplis ffice at and we can lk it up fr yu. Yu will als need t knw that BOMA Greater Minneaplis is part f the Midwest Nrthern Regin. Fr each building entry yu create yu will pay a $25 nline data-submissin fee. Buildings may be added regardless f whether they have wn at the lcal level. Adding a building des nt enter the building in the reginal r internatinal cmpetitins. 3. Once yur accunt is created, yu are nw ready t begin entering yur building data. Click n Review Buildings n the left menu r Add Building n the tp menu. Then begin entering yur data. Yu can click n Edit Frms t check cmplete and incmplete sectins. * Helpful Hint Create all narratives in the electrnic nline frm and then dwnlad t a Wrd dcument r create them in a Wrd dcument, then uplad t the electrnic entry frm. TOBY rules have very specific wrd cunt limitatins and this prcess will help ensure yu re within their wrd cunt. On yur building s hme page yu will find the fllwing helpful links: Entry Requirements We suggest yu print these ut t use as a guide in cmpleting each sectin. Building Inspectins Frm This will give yu infrmatin abut what the judges will be lking fr when they visit yur building. * D nt click n the final SUBMIT buttn r pay the $275 until we ntify yu whether yu re a lcal winner prceeding t the reginal cmpetitin. Yu will have ne mre pprtunity t imprve yur entry based n lcal judges cmments. Nw t submit yur lcal entry, print yur dcument EXACTLY as yu ve entered it n the BOMA Internatinal site and then insert the BOMA Internatinal tab dividers. Make three cpies. 5. 6 TOBY Timeline September 18, 2015 Octber 30, 2015 Nvember 3-6, 2015 Intent t participate frms and building images due t BOMA ffice by nn. Lcal TOBY Entries (TOBY bks) are due t the BOMA ffice by 4 PM. TOBY judging team will be ding building inspectins. February 11, 2016 TOBY entrants and winners will be recgnized at the annual Best f BOMA Gala. Judges cmments will be immediately returned t participants. Thse selected as winners will advance t the Reginal cmpetitin and may use the lcal judges cmments t guide the finalizatin f their nline submissins fr the Reginal cmpetitin. February 29, 2016 Lcal winners wh chse t advance t the Reginal cmpetitin must pay the $275 fee nline t finalize their nline entries and SUBMIT them. Once the entries have been submitted at this level they are n lnger changeable. March April 2016 Reginal winners will be annunced. Reginal winners autmatically advance t the BOMA Internatinal Cmpetitin. June Internatinal winners are annunced at the annual BOMA Internatinal Cnventin, this year being held in Washingtn, DC.
