21 Step 1 Talk to Anyone Who Will Listen! Make sure you have somewhere to store leads, even if you take them on a napkin! Take the name of everyone in the room when speaking! Find potential partners who already have a list (Joint Venture).

22 Step 2 Build Your Database! Negotiate the right contract for speaking engagements. Have a drawing entice potential leads with your products or other gifts (i.e. gift certificates). Reciprocate marketing efforts with JV Partners.

23 When Building Your Database The two most important questions to ask yourself: How much does each lead cost? How much is each lead potentially worth to your business?

24 Database Strategies What is the standard list size necessary to get most JV Partners interested? Couple your database with a shopping cart system to legally market or make offers to your leads. Database usage One-way or two-way push Revenue share

30 Sell Something! Train your customers to pay for your services. Remember that your time is worth money! Evaluate your sales scripts regularly. Keep in mind that 30%-50% conversion is an excellent standard!

31 Step 6 Use Books as a Brochure The likelihood of a customer throwing away a book is much lower than a flyer. Information over 30 pages is likely to find a place on a bookshelf or in a client s paperwork. Especially important when doubling and tripling!
