3 Program Overview The Radical Promoting 3-step program is specifically designed to help advisors build and grow their businesses and become the go-to financial advisor for their area. Our goal is get you to the point where you have a consistent stream of appointments and you are consistently booking appointments with 70% to 80% of the people at your events, closing 60% to 70% of the people you meet. Once we have built an effective and sustainable sales machine, the Radical team will then work with you on scaling your business and helping you become one of the most dominant advisors in your area. Throughout this process, the Radical Promoting team will be working with you and your staff to ensure the program is a success for you. Here s how the Radical Program works: Step 1: Develop Name Recognition As part of this process, we help you build a brand image that people will recognize. We will work with you to create an infrastructure that supports that brand (website, social media profiles, etc.), so that wherever people look they know who you are, what you do, and, without a doubt, how you can help them. Step 2: Become Recognized as The Local Go-To Expert Once people know who you are, what you do, and how you can help them, we then demonstrate to them why you are the go-to expert in your area. We do this primarily through a weekly financial column that is written by an active financial advisor. This weekly financial column is then promoted on your website, social media profiles, and marketing system. We also publish a weekly podcast (all done for you), question of the week videos, and other marketing tactics all designed to help you become recognized as the local go-to expert. Step 3: Give People an Opportunity to Ask Their Questions Once people know who you are, what you do, how you can help, and they believe you to be THE expert in your field. The next step is to give them an opportunity to ask you their questions and get the answers they need in order to take control of their financial future. Once you ve completed steps one and two correctly, step three becomes a breeze, and you will see your conversations shift from Why should I trust you? to What do you think I should do? Additionally, one of the interesting things we ve found was that when clients reported seeing the advisor in more than one medium, the overall net worth of the client doubled from $320,000 to $640,000, which makes sense when you think about it. Consumers who have north of $500,000 have options; they are going to research their advisors before working with them, and they are looking for more out of their advisors. So, having a comprehensive online marketing strategy becomes critical for attracting those higher net worth individuals. RADICAL PROMOTING 2
4 Individual Program Descriptions The Massive Social Media & Business Building Program Weekly Financial Column The weekly financial column is a weekly article that is written by co-founder and financial advisor Jeff Cutter. The article is designed to educate people about finances and give them the tools to be able to understand and possibly take control of their financial future. Each week, Jeff writes the weekly article, it is published in the local newspapers in five different towns within Cape Cod, and it is then rewritten for each advisor and their area. You can see previous articles on Jeff s website CutterFinancialGroup.com Turnkey Podcast Program The Facts & Logic Show is the Radical podcast program for advisors. Each week we take one of the popular articles that Jeff writes and turn it in to a podcast show, which can be played on your website and promoted via social media. The podcast is recorded by our team of professional voice actors. All you need to do is record an introduction to the program we do the rest. Question of the Week Videos Question of the week videos are designed to help you connect with your prospects on a human level without ever meeting with them. The question of the week videos are quick two to three minutes videos that you can record using your computer or smartphone. The videos are of you answering a financial question that someone submitted to you. We provide you with the script and training. All you have to do is record that script. Most advisors will take an hour once a month to record four videos for us to promote throughout the month. You can see examples of question of the week videos on (under the Ryan s Weekly tab on his website.) Marketing System As part of the Radical Promoting program we will create, for you, a turnkey marketing system that is designed to automatically drip on your clients and prospects. As part of the program, you will be able to automatically send out newsletters to your clients and prospects with your latest articles, podcasts, question of the week videos, media appearances and upcoming classes. If you are an IAR with Precision Capital Management you will also get access to its weekly market commentary newsletter that will automatically be set up for you to send to your clients and prospects. You can see examples of both newsletters below: Basic Newsletter: PCM Newsletter: Welcome Kit The welcome kit is the set of marketing materials that you send out to clients before their first appointment and/or hand out during classes, workshops and appointments. The welcome kit includes brochures, bios on the advisor(s) and team members, FAQs, Join Us on Social Media flyers, etc. As part of the Radical Program, we ll help you put together a killer welcome kit that is designed to impress. Step 3 Events: Coaching & Training The goal of the Radical Promoting program is to help you build and grow your business. A key part of that process is helping you develop a consistent sales and marketing system that gets you in front of qualified prospects on a regular basis. As part of the Step 3 Events portion of the program, we will help you develop the following areas of your business: RADICAL PROMOTING 3
5 1. Planning: Help you create a marketing calendar that produces optimal results (based on our experience with you and other advisors around the country). 2. Optimization: We will help you optimize your marketing calendar and event promotion marketing to help you drive the ideal number of attendees to your event. As part of this process we may help you with: a. Research and refinement of your marketing calendar to reduce oversaturation and market overlap (the two biggest killers of response rates). b. Strategic online promotion of your classes via and social media (it is even possible to fill classes completely with online only marketing, average cost $1500/class.) 3. Booking: Coaching and training on conducting your events to help you get to the point where you are book appointments with 70% to 80% of attendees. 4. Follow-up: We can help you develop and/or refine your follow-up process to help you increase the number of people who are coming in for their first and second appointments. 5. Closing: As part of the Radical process we will help you close more business and meet with more qualified leads. Whether it is helping you develop or refine your sales system, or it is helping you work your list and mailer to appeal to the right audience, the Radical Team will help you get to the point where you have consistent appointments with qualified leads and you are closing 60% to 70% of the appointments you are setting. Social Media Marketing As part of the Radical Promoting program, we will take over your Facebook and LinkedIn marketing. We will create Facebook and LinkedIn pages for you if you don t have them, and we will post to them on a regular basis. Each week will post your weekly financial column, podcast, question of the week videos (if applicable), upcoming classes, PR events, etc. We will also manage your online marketing to ensure that your posts are reaching the right people in your area. Website Design & Hosting (Additional Cost) At Radical promoting we will work with your web developers to help you bring your website up to speed with all of our online marketing. If needed, our web team can take over your website. A Radical website costs between $500 and $1,000 for setup depending on if you use an existing design or we create a new one for you and costs between $49-$97 per month, depending on the features you need. Most advisors start out at the lower level. Instant Credibility Program (Additional Cost) The Radical Instant Credibility programs will help you establish credibility by getting your name and business featured on dozens of news sites, including those that are part of the major networks. This allows you to proudly proclaim that your investment advice has been featured on FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. (see for details: ; available to Radical Promoting members only). RADICAL PROMOTING 4
6 Frequently Asked Questions Q: Social Media & Compliance How Does it Work? A: The way the Radical Promoting program works, everything we do is sent to you for review and compliance approval before it is published online. Nothing will ever go out without your approval. Each week we send you a PDF with the article, podcast, and/or materials for approval. The PDF will have everything that will be used: the article, how it will be listed on your website, how it will be promoted on social media, etc. You send the PDF onto compliance for approval. Once approved you go into our system and mark it as approved. If changes are needed, you can them to us or make the changes yourself directly in the system, and download a new PDF for compliance approval. Once approved the content will be added to our queue for promotion, and our marketing managers will post it when it is appropriate. Since we only work with Series 65/66 holders, our materials are written specifically with compliance in mind. Additionally, since our entire marketing team has their Series 65 or are studying for it, the materials are generally already compliant. Currently 97% of the materials we send to compliance are approved as-is without any changes. Q: What RIAs/Firms do you currently work with? A: We currently have advisors with the following firms: Precision Capital Management Horter Investment Management Brookstone Capital Management Formula Folios Portfolio Medics Independents (self owned RIAs) Q: How Much Does the Program Cost? A: The Radical Program costs $697 per month. There is a one-time set up fee of $1,500, which you can waive with a 6 month contract or by being a member of Precision Capital Management. Q: What Happens if the Program Doesn t Work For Me? A: Since the program is month-to-month, if, for whatever reason, you feel like the program isn t right for you, simply cancel. Q: Is There a Money Back Guarantee? A: Since the program is month-to-month, if, for whatever reason, you feel like the program isn t right for you, simply cancel. If during the setup process you decide that this program isn t right for you we will provide you with a full refund. Q: Do You Work With Anyone I Know? A: Some of the elite advisors on our program are: David Gaylor and Gary Reed, co-founders of 3-Mentors (the FMO). 7 Q: Can I Use 3-Mentor Points for the Program? A: Yes, you can use your 3-mentor points for almost everything you do with Radical Promoting (or our sister company Radical Printing), just let us know so we can send you the appropriate order form. Q: What Is the Process to Get Started? A: Fill out the order, , or fax it back. Once we get the completed order form, we will setup your account in our systems and your marketing manager will reach out to schedule your first call. The setup process generally takes 4-6 weeks, however, the pace is really set by you. During the set-up process we will be creating/reviewing your brand, reviewing and updating your website, and creating your social media profiles and marketing system. Once completed, we ll submit them to compliance, make any changes and then get started with our year one goals of building and growing your business. To get started go to: Q: What s Included In the Program A: The program includes the weekly financial column, marketing system, coaching/training, managing your Facebook company page, LinkedIn personal and company pages, posting on those pages, and more. Q: What s NOT Included In the Program? A: There are only three costs that are NOT included in the Radical Promoting program: Any actual advertising costs. (You set the budget, we manage the ads.) Website Hosting or Web Development Costs. Graphic Design Fees We can provide web development & hosting if needed, a fully custom website by the Radical team costs $997, with hosting costing between $49-$139/month depending on the service level. You will also have access to our design team at the discounted rate of $65/hour. Q: What is the Expected Return on Investment (ROI)/What Kind of Results Can I Expect to See? A: The results vary from advisor to advisor. However, after about 9-12 months in the program, the results that we typically see are: 1. The ability to reduce the number of mailers sent for events while still getting the same number of attendees. Typically, advisors start out with us sending seven to ten thousand mailers per event, but, by the end of a year, they are usually able to send five thousand mailers and get the same or better results. 2. When prospects reported seeing the advisor in more than one medium (online, mailer, newspaper, etc.) the average net worth of the client doubled from $316,000 to over $630, The ability to sell out events by using online marketing alone (typically, they ll spend $1,500 to sell out a two-day event). 4. Increased number of appointments generated by your events. 5. Higher closing ratio for the people who do attend your event. RADICAL PROMOTING 6
8 Q: How Long Before I Start to See Results from the Program? A: It generally takes about 9 to 12 months before you experience the full effects of the program. However, most advisors start seeing the effects in their numbers within six to nine months. You ll see attendance increase, closing ratios increase, and throughout the program we ll be tracking engagement metrics that will show how well the program is working, and how many people are in our marketing funnel, which will show whether the marketing is working or not. Q: Where Do TV, Newspaper, and Radio Come In? A: Once we have built a sound marketing machine that produces a consistent stream of appointments for you, you re hitting your goals of 70% to 80% of your attendees coming in for appointments, and 60% to 70% of those are becoming clients, then we can start focusing our attention on scaling your business and expanding your market reach. At that point you will be ready to graduate to your Elite program where we ll help you implement TV, radio, and newspaper adverting, and help you go to the next level. Q: What If I have a Website and Social Media Profiles? Do I Have to Start on the Lite Program? A: Depending on how developed your marketing infrastructure is, your business development would determine which program would be appropriate for you. Almost everybody starts out on the Lite Program. The Lite Program is designed to get you to the point where you have the resources to properly execute on the Elite Program and capitalize on the massive reach of TV, radio, and newspaper. After all, if you have a leaky marketing machine, adding more money while it might get you short-term results will, over the long run, be a wasted effort. Once we ve built that massive marketing and sales machine, then we can move on to the Elite program and really ramp up your business. Q: What Is the Plan to Take Me From $0 to $10 Million+ Per Year In Production? A: You can see the Radical Growth plan online in our Zero-to-Hero-in-24-months chart. This chart outlines the various programs that advisors need to have in place in order to sustain consistent production in each category. When looking at production numbers we are primarily looking at annuity production, since annuities provide the dollars to be able to reinvest in your marketing and take it to the next level. At this point, your mailer is no longer an invitation from a stranger, it is an opportunity for your loyal fans to ask you their questions and take control of their financial future. As you can see in the graph below, two advisors, both in metro areas with high competition, were able to double their attendance at events while reducing the number of mailers that were sent. They both started by sending 10,000 mailers, and, at the end of the year, they were sending 5,000 with two to three times the results. A: No, there are quite a few metrics that we monitor. The numbers that we track will tell us right away whether we're building an engaged audience or if our marketing isn t working at all. We ask ourselves the following questions: How many people are seeing our articles on a regular basis? How many people are going back to the website? How many people are going through our marketing funnel? RADICAL PROMOTING 8
10 How many people are coming back to our website? How many people are staying on our website and how much time have they been spending? We then look at long-term engagement metrics in terms of how many people are being added to our list, and how many of those people are opening up that every single time and clicking on what we want them to. The goal of the Radical program is to build an audience of potential clients over the long run. One of the primary metrics that we look at is how many people are we engaging to take the next step beyond reading the first article. As we look at those engagement metrics, we want to see them follow an upward trend. This will tell us that our marketing is being effective. If we see a flat line, or we see spikes then there's something wrong with what we're doing. We're not engaging our audience properly and will need to adjust our strategy accordingly. Q: How Much Do Most Advisors Spend On Social Media Advertising? A: Most advisors on the Radical Promoting program spend about $200 to $300 in online advertising, in addition to their Radical membership fee. Below, are actual amounts spent by some of our advisors. Please note: online advertising is sold based on a bidding system. So, you will be competing with local businesses for advertising space, and your costs will obviously be different.
