2 Festival of Careers Now in its sixth year, The Festival of Careers remains the flagship Careers event at the University of Leicester. Taking place early in the academic year, this week long Festival brings together a series of themed careers fairs, presentations and workshops. At the University of Leicester we re fortunate to benefit from a vibrant mix of students from a diverse range of social and cultural backgrounds. The Festival gives you a great platform to meet students face-to-face, raise awareness of your organisation and the roles you are looking to fill. Whether it s penultimate year students, finalists, or recent graduates you want to reach, the group(s) you target will be there to meet you. Making the best use of your time Following hugely positive feedback from exhibitors over the past three years, we are committed to making sure our careers fairs continue to raise the bar even further. Our award winning strategy means that students understand where they are in their personal career development journey, and how meeting employers can help them develop. Student preparation: The University is still the only institution in the UK to have adopted a no prep no entry approach. This means students have to prepare in order to gain access to employer led careers events. Students that have quality conversations: The University of Leicester devotes a significant amount of resource to supporting students engagement with employers, making sure you have quality conversations with the right students. A great package: We want to ensure you get maximum return on your investment when partnering with the UOL. 4 Your Options We offer a flexible range of options for you to join us for the Festival of Careers. From attending a careers fair, sponsorship packages and additional advertising opportunities, to delivering presentations and workshops. Careers Fair To help make the most of your time on campus the careers fairs are split into themes, to make it easier to target the students you are looking to meet. All students are able to attend each day, provided they complete the required preparation however they are more likely to attend the days that meet their future career aspirations. The venue opens to students from 1pm 4pm each day, with setup from 9:30am on the day. Monday 23 October 2017: Get Experience (Work/Study Abroad, Volunteering, Enterprise and Part Time) This Careers Fair showcases international study and work opportunities, organisations where voluntary experience can be gained, student start-up businesses and ongoing part time employment opportunities which can be taken alongside studying. All stand sizes for this careers fair are 2m x 2m Organisation Type Costs Included in cost Employers/Education Partners VAT 2 x buffet lunch (more can be added when booking at 10 per person) National Charity/Not for profit 50 +VAT 1 x table and 2 x chairs Local Voluntary Organisation 25 +VAT WIFI access and 1 x 13A power supply Start-Up Business 25 +VAT Refreshments throughout the day Tuesday 24 October 2017: Science, Engineering and Technology For employers looking to attract students from STEM subjects for a range of opportunities. Students from the College of Science and Engineering have the option of taking an industrial placement as part of their course. Size of stand space Costs Included in cost 4m x 2m VAT 2 x hot fork lunch (more can be added when booking at 20 per person) 3m x 2m VAT 1 x table and 2 x chairs 2m x 2m VAT WIFI access and 1 x 13A power supply Refreshments throughout the day Wednesday 25 October 2017: Business, Finance and Consultancy Organisations wanting to discuss opportunities for students in various Professional Services and Management based roles. Students from the School of Business have the option of securing a yearlong placement after the second year of an undergraduate degree. 5 Thursday 26 October 2017: Law Law Firms promoting vacation schemes and training contracts to Law and non-law students. The event is run in partnership with the Law Society at the University of Leicester. The Fringe is a schedule of presentations and workshops with a specific theme to provide students with an insight into different sectors and steps in the application process. We welcome employers to put themselves forwards to deliver a session. The table below shows the sessions that took place last year and we welcome further suggestions from you when booking. The cost to deliver a workshop is FREE to employers booking to attend any day of the Careers Fair. 5

6 Sponsorship and Promotion The University of Leicester offers additional opportunities for employers that are looking to increase their profile and raise awareness of their brand and opportunities. Through being a sponsor of the Festival or having space in the event programme, you can further the exposure you have to students. Headline Sponsorship Package The Headline Sponsor for The Festival of Careers is at the forefront of all promotional activity and is featured alongside the University of Leicester on all material as: The Festival of Careers 2017, sponsored by XXXXX The Headline Sponsor Package includes: Cost of the careers fair on all days of the Festival and first choice on stand position Event programme (A5) advertisement up to the equivalent of a double page space and the option to split to either the back cover or inside front cover The only employer featured on The Festival Preparation Video that all attending students will watch Priority presence on Career Development Service social media platforms with headline banner image Provide promotional text (500 words max.) and branding for home page of The Festival website The only featured employer logo alongside The University of Leicester on branded promotion and event material which includes: Wristbands (3,500) Digital signage (50+ plasma screens) Posters (28 departments) Student Helper T-shirts Front page of The Festival Programme (5,000) (24,000 students) Banner Stands (16) The Headline Sponsorship Package price is 10,000 +VAT Once an agreement is in place to be the Headline Sponsor of the Festival of Careers, both the University of Leicester and the Headline Sponsor reserve the right to approve another employers request to sponsor individual Careers Fairs. Single Day Careers Fair Sponsorship Package In addition to the Festival of Careers Headline Sponsor we are offering employers to sponsor individual days of the Careers Fairs at The Festival. An example would be: The Science, Engineering and Technology Careers Fair, sponsored by XXXXX The Single Day Careers Fair Sponsorship Package includes: Cost of the careers fair on the selected day of The Festival and first choice on stand position after the Headline Sponsor Double page advert in event programme located next to the selected Careers Fair list of employers Provide promotional text (500 words max.) and branding for the selected Careers Fair Presence on social media platforms of Career Development Service when promoting the selected Careers Fair Featured logo alongside The University of Leicester on branded promotion for Digital signage (50+ plasma screens) for the selected Careers Fair Date Careers Fair Cost Monday 23 October Get Experience 500 +VAT Tuesday 24 October Science, Engineering and Technology 1,500 +VAT Wednesday 25 October Business, Finance and Consultancy 1,500 +VAT Thursday 26 October Law 1,500 +VAT The University of Leicester reserves the right to approve a request to sponsor individual Careers Fairs depending on ongoing discussions with potential Headline Sponsors of the Festival of Careers. Programme Advertisement The Festival of Careers Programme contains all activities scheduled for the weeklong event The programme is full colour and A5 size and will be used to promote the event and available to download from the Festival of Careers website. Advertising opportunities will vary and are subject to availability. Monday 31 July 2017 is the last day advertising opportunities can be booked. A subsequent artwork deadline must be met to be included in the Festival of Careers Programme, however you may still be charged if booking an advertising opportunity and missing the artwork deadline.
