11 1 2 eid building block Delivers an interface for authenticating users by means of their national ID Develops common rules and specifications for mutual recognition of eids Support at EU level but also to Member States Piloted by STORK To be eidas compatible in September Support at Member State level Grants
12 eid Grants Setting-up of Pan-European Proxy Services at national level in order to link the national eid service to the core platform. At least one entity from one Member State Lump sum of 50k per legal entity per action per year 1 year 8.7 m Open Operation of Pan-European Proxy Services at national level in order to guarantee the availability of the service for the first years of operation. At least one entity from one Member State Lump sum of 50k per legal entity per action per year Maximum duration of 3 years Closing: Integration in an existing online platform (e.g. ERASMUS registration of students) of this eid DSI in order to enable citizens from any Member State to use its national eid to access a public service. At least ten entities from one Member State. Lump sum of 20k per legal entity per action per year 1 year 7 M Opening: Closing: Integrate the eid DSI in an existing e-service/system/online platform to enable citizens from any Member State to use her or his national eid to access public services in the Member State of the consortium At least 5 entities from a single Member State Lump sum of 20k per legal entity per action 1 year 12

14 Next steps Set up a working group to analyse identified problems raised today and consider options for tackling these and prioritising them; Set up a collaborative workspace for participants to exchange views and ideas and ensure that all interested parties are kept up to date on progress Issue a post-event press release to the banking/finance media and seek ideas and recommendations on future actions Arrange a lunchtime roundtable in the City for senior banking/finance executives Seek opportunities at banking/finance events generally to present progress Possible follow-up meeting later in the year (London or Berlin/Frankfurt) 14
