T supprt this aim, we are lking fr a talented and passinate individual t jin ur Business Engagement team, t take ur already successful crprate partnerships t the next level whilst identifying and grwing new pprtunities. The Business Engagement Officer will wrk alngside ur Business Engagement Partner fr the Cllege f Engineering & Physical Sciences, t further ur engagement with industry. Yu will have experience f a business develpment, cmmercial management r fundraising rle, tgether with an enthusiasm fr peple, the skill t interact with high-level crprate prfessinals and academics, and experience f delivering against KPIs and KPTs. Wrking t individual, team and institutinal targets, yu will supprt the Business Engagement Partner and marketing and events specialists in the identificatin f internal pprtunities and match these t ptential crprate supprters. Yu will be expected t develp excellent relatinships with existing and ptential supprters, and be cmmitted t the visin f the University f Birmingham.

2 It is als expected that the pst hlder will have relevant experience f excellent writing skills cmbined with understanding cmplex infrmatin and translating fr a nn-academic audience, managing high-quality scial media channels, using cntent management systems, and wrking with a cmplex CRM (Custmer Relatinship Management) system. Main Duties Develp business t result in psitive utcmes fr the University; Secure and arrange strategic meetings with industry and academics Identify and act upn pprtunities t imprve business partners experience in interacting with the University thrugh develpment and prmtin f the prgrammes and services prvided. Shadw and learn frm Business Engagement Partners and wider BE team t supprt the smaller prject activity as a result Multi-task and manage a prtflis f different prjects Ensure excellent custmer service excellence thrugh all methds f cmmunicatin Have excellent attentin t detail and manage and execute small events/discvery days t a high standard Persnally wrk t develp the pipeline f ptential businesses fr engagement with the University; Develp detailed reprts and prpsals fr meetings with business partners; excellent written skills required Liaise with the finance and legal ffices t develp cntracts fr cllabratin with industry; Manage enquiries and requests frm senir academics and ther UB staff; Maintain versight f pprtunities arising frm partner rganisatins (e.g. Client nline pprtunities database) and highlight pprtunities as they arise; Identify, understand, and articulate hw and why change may be needed in BE-tuched activities and make recmmendatins fr hw this may wrk mre efficiently; Prvide executive-level administrative supprt, t the BEP(s) Develp a shrt t medium term wrking plan with yur line manager t ensure achievement against target and feedback evidence via mnthly 1-2-1s. Leading Peple Help t implement the Business Engagement strategy fr the Cllege, prviding mtivatin, fstering pprtunities and prviding supprt t clleagues acrss the University t ensure annual targets are met (as defined by the agreed KPIs) and cnsequently help the University t achieve its bjectives. Have the credibility t gain and retain the cnfidence f clleagues acrss the University.
