1 General Attendee Registration Notes/Script Scanning a Badge: Setup 1. Download the EventHero Organizer app for your ios device 2. Tap the [+] icon on the Events screen and enter our organizer code - BYLEZ 3. Social Media Marketing World 2017 will appear on the Events screen Scanning a Badge: Usage 1. Select Social Media Marketing World 2017 from the Events screen 2. Select Check In Attendees 3. Select Registration to check-in attendees 4. Select Scan in the upper right corner 5. Move your device so that the full QR code is visible on the screen. The software will automatically complete the scan and you will see a green icon indicating completion. Manual Check-in Using the Mobile App 1. Select Social Media Marketing World 2017 from the Events screen 2. Select Check In Attendees 3. Select Registration to check-in attendees 4. Find the attendee using the Search box or jumping the corresponding letter of their last name. 5. Select the toggle switch next to their name to check-in the attendee. Tagged Badges Alumni = Red 4th Year Alumni = Teal 5th Year Alumni = Purple Society Member = Blue Special Meal = Pink Alumni Alumni get a YELLOW lanyard and a RED ribbon. Make sure you welcome them back! Fourth Year Attendees Ring your hand bell and welcome them to the conference by saying Welcome to your fourth year at SMMW! All other registration staff are to applaud/cheer and welcome the guest as well. Give them the special drink ticket from Mike and Phil 1

2 Fifth Year Attendees Ring your hand bell and welcome them to the conference by saying Welcome to your fifth year at SMMW! All other registration staff are to applaud/cheer and welcome the guest as well. Give them the special drink ticket from Mike and Phil Make sure they have the 5-Year Sticker on their name badge Give them a grey t-shirt ticket. T-shirts are be picked up in Hall D Lobby on Wednesday or in the Networking Plaza on Thursday/Friday. Society Member Society members get a special letter Give each member a Society Pin. They may already have a pin but they are welcome to take a second one. If they ask about the private-party, direct them to the Society table Special Meals If the name badge is tagged, give the attendee a special meal letter Special meals can be picked up in the Networking Plaza between the Capital Numbers and Talkwalker booths Vegetarian and Gluten Free requests have been accommodated on the main buffet If there are any new requests, write down their name, phone number and their special request. Give the request to Claude and we ll follow up with the attendee. Attendee Registration Key Points Welcome Everything you need to know is in your conference guide Workshops are up the escalator. Lunch is available for purchase starting at 11am (WEDNESDAY ONLY) The Opening Night Party is Tonight aboard the USS Midway. Buses will be leaving from the San Diego Convention Center in front of Hall D starting at 6:45pm and running every 15 minutes. Keynote begins Tomorrow at 8:00 am in Hall D to my right. Breakfast is located upstairs by the Networking Plaza starting at 7:00am on Thursday and Friday. Your name badge will provide you access to all sessions, the Networking Plaza and our hosted evening networking parties. 2

3 Attendee Registration Script Welcome to Social Media Marketing World. May I have your name and ID please. [If attendee does not have an ID, an with a registration confirmation will work. If they have nothing and are not willing to go back to their room send them to Irene] Thank you. [ If runner is available, have runner look for badge while you go through the conference guide. [Match the name on the ID to the Name Badge - in alpha by last name] [If the badge is missing, look up their name using the ipad or iphone to see if badge was mis-alphabetized and to ensure they are registered. If you still can t find it and they are in the registration system, give the first and last name of the attendee to the badge printer staff member. If they are not in the system ask them to see Irene] [Collect attendee name badge, connect with the lanyard and get a conference guide. Once you have these items go through the following] [Connect lanyard to the name badge] [Get a conference guide and insert one set of interest stickers] [Scan the QR code to check the attendee in] Everything you need to know is within the Conference Guide Maps [Open sample conference guide to show maps] Internet Login [Open sample guide to show key information] Schedule and Agenda [Open conference guide to show schedule-at-a-glance] 3
