1 Guidelines for the first term project Grade 11 Marketing Topic: Sales report to know the customers preference and volume of sales Last date for submission of project: 14 th May 1. Cover page(name of the project, school logo, year, name of the student, class, name of the teacher in charge) 2. Certificate on project completion(sample provided down) 3. Acknowledgement(sample provided down, students can add extra words if required) 4. Index 5. Methodology(sample provided down) 6. Introduction to marketing - meaning of Market and Marketing. 1 page 7. What is branding? What is the role of branding? 1 page 8. What is packaging and role of packaging 1 page 9. How do consumers select convenience products? How do they generally select a store? 1 page 10. Select any 5 consumer products a. Convenience goods Example: Shampoo, Soap, Biscuit, Milk, Face Cream, Toothpaste, soft drinks, chocolates, chips, ice cream, butter, cheese, bread, juices, etc. b. Electronics Eg: TV, Washing Machine, Refrigerator, Microwave etc. 11. Visit nearby wholesaler or retailer and collect following information(at least 5) a. What all brand they sell? (if shampoo, Sun silk, Head and Shoulders, Pantene, Palmolive etc.) b. Which brand is mostly preferred by customers?(i.e., having maximum sale) c. Reason for preference d. Who is the target customer? (male or female or kids) and their age group? e. Frequency and volume of purchase of that product by the customers. 12. Collect information on 1 st product and print the following information a. List 5 companies you have chosen to do and analysis on sales and brand preference (eg: Shampoo: sunsilk, head and shoulders, pantene, Palmolive and b. List following information for all 5 companies of the 1 st product i. Manufacturer s name ii. Brand name and brand mark and logo of that product (show it through pictures) iii. Available segments (sunsilk dry hair, sunsilk, oily hair, sunsilk egg protein, sunsilk shinny etc) with its price ( show it through pictures) iv. Information on package and label (show it through picture) v. Stick few advertisements from newspaper or magazine of that product 13. Collect information on other four products and repeat point no Dealer questionnaire( total 5 questionnaires- few from wholesalers and few from retailers) a. Prepare 5 questionnaires for 5 products separately. b. Find out which brand has maximum sales and the reason for maximum sales. 15. Tabular analysis on the response received from dealers. 16. Graphical analysis on response received from dealers (only pie chart) 17. Verbal analysis on the research (from dealers) - product wise 18. Customer Questionnaire (total 15 questionnaires - 10 questionnaires directly meeting the customer and other 5 questionnaires through social media)(sample provided below) 19. Put the screen shots for survey through social media Or
