2 INTRODUCTION Welcome to the iremit Visual Merchandising (VM) Guidelines! They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This Visual Merchandising Handbook has been prepared to provide inspiration and practical ideas to assist branch managers in the initial set-up or maintenance of every foreign office. All areas of the physical space are covered from the street level to the interior of the store. The store design and layout require in-depth knowledge of our product mix and what our business needs to communicate. These includes access, customer and sales staff-friendly fixturing. Everything is interconnected and design needs to reflect the intent of our business, whether for a full retail office, an open-store inside the mall, a kiosk, or even an area with the agent s or tie-ups. A consistent and better visual store display will inspire, excite, educate and stimulate the customer, resulting in healthy sales and ongoing patronage. Knowing the core of our business will assist in communicating the story and creating a more sustainable business. Visual Merchandising communicates to our customers about our products and services, our corporate values, and what the brand iremit stands for. VM will imprint our brand s individual image anywhere in world.

3 OUTDOOR COMMUNICATION DISPLAY Start from the Street Level: OUTDOOR SIGNAGE The outside of the store is the most import part of selling. From the signage to the smallest item in the window the shop front should be considered to be a tactical marketing method with the same appeal and branding ability as any advertising campaign. Outdoor signage not only highlights the name of our company but it also adds to the visual beauty of the streetscape. Signage should be clear, bold and reflect the point of difference of our business from the competition.

6 WINDOW DISPLAY Create a dynamic statement and aid in the sales of product Windows are essentially a three-dimensional advertising space for the store. It is usually the first point of communication with the customer. Good window displays will enhance communication of the product, brand and image. Equally the window can communicate a viewpoint or trigger an emotional response, giving the customer a reason to enter the store. Stores only have a few seconds to get the customer s attention:

This include the debit card, bank to bank, notify to pay, door to door and auxillary services. Once we have that, it is a short matter to take their interest all the way to a sale or transaction. The Promo display should be located infront of the retail store to catch the attention of the customers and other prospects..
