Because they are visual in nature, people are drawn to them more readily than the written word. Our videos show up quickly on the first page of the YouTube and Google search engines (the two biggest in the world) and have stickability! However, people don't always understand Google Places, so a little clarification on how it really works and what Google wants is required. Google Places is really a free 'premium' tool which allows you to place your business on the Google Maps website which is accessible worldwide to any visitors. It s a great way to maintain an online presence and gather leads and customers. Anyone can add a listing to Google Places, so Google carefully make sure that they now review each listing. It usually takes no more than two weeks for a new listing or an edit to be reviewed and approved by a moderator. 9 QR Codes QR codes are relativity new for marketing local businesses. They can be used in a large variety of ways both online and offline as outlined below. URL: when someone scans the QR code, they are taken to any URL of your choice. This can be directly to your website, Facebook Fan Page, YouTube videos or anywhere you like. Telephone: when someone scans the QR code it can instantly call a phone number of your choice. SMS: when someone scans the QR code their phone can send a pre- composed text message to the number of your choice. This is helpful in subscribing the customer to text notification lists, for example. when someone scans the QR code it opens up the client on the phone with the address of your choice. vcard: when someone scans the QR code, your virtual business card is automatically opened on their phone. This means your phone number, address, website address, etc, can be automatically added to their phone s address book. Location: when someone scans the QR code they are sent a Google Map pointing to the location of your choice. Note that you can print your QR code whenever you like and the URL that you choose to send your visitors to can be changed with our URL Redirection Service.
