3 Travelcard - simple and convenient The Länstrafiken Travelcard makes it particularly easy to travel with us. You can buy and add a ticket to your card at one of our sales agents, our Customer service or on the bus. You can add several tickets to the same Travelcard. You can also top up your Travelcard with credit that you can use to buy a single ticket. If you create an account with us and register your Travelcard on our website, you will also be covered by our Lost Card Guarantee. This means that if you lose your Travelcard you will receive a new one free of charge complete with the tickets you had on the card and the remaining credit. If you go onto the website you can check your balance, top up your credit, add more tickets and even block your card. Further information is available at lanstrafiken.se, where you can also see current fares, a list of our sales agents and a lot of other information. Welcome on board! We are pleased that you have chosen to use us when travelling in the county of Örebro. We will do everything we can to ensure that your journey is safe and convenient. Länstrafiken is responsible for both city buses and regional buses. On a majority of routes our tickets can also be used for travel by train. This brochure contains information about how to find your route, the different types of tickets that are available and where and how you can buy your tickets. There are several quick, easy ways for buying tickets, suchs as Länstrafiken app, the Länstrafiken Travelcard containing a ticker or credit, or with a bank card on the bus. Buy a single ticket in your smartphone Do you have a smartphone? If you have, you can download the Länstrafiken app free of charge. You can use the app to buy a single ticket with a bank card or by invoice and find most of what you need to know about our bus services. The app also has a Journey Planner as well as timetables, bus stop locations, arrival and departure times and a great deal more. Not valid on X2000/SJ express trains. The ticket is valid for train travel to Kristinehamn, but not with SJ. The ticket is also valid with Tåg I Bergslagen to Ludvika and Skinnskatteberg. County ticket Valid on all the regional buses, city buses and trains** in the County of Örebro. Commuter ticket Valid with regional traffic between two specified locations and includes city busses if there is any adjacent to the locations. Off-Peak ticket county Valid on all the regional buses, city buses and trains** in the County of Örebro. For off-peak travel during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Leisure ticket Valid on all the regional buses, city buses and trains** in the County of Örebro. For travel during evenings and weekends. Annual ticket Pay for 10 months - valid for 12 months for a selected season ticket. City ticket Valid in the city of your choice: Örebro, Karlskoga* or Lindesberg. Off-Peak ticket city Valid in the city of your choice: Örebro, Karlskoga* or Lindesberg. 5 Buying your ticket Season tickets (County ticket, Commuter ticket, City ticket, Off-Peak ticket, Leisure ticket) and Travelcards can be bought at our Customer service at the Central Station in Örebro, at a Länstrafiken sales agent, or on the bus. If you buy a new Travelcard we add a card fee of 30 kronor to the price of the ticket. If you already have a Travelcard, you can buy a new season ticket or extend your existing season ticket by going to our website lanstrafiken.se and pay with a bank card. You can only pay for an Annual ticket using the autogiro system. Go to lanstrafiken.se and print out a form, which you then fill out, sign and send to us for autogiro approval. Credit for buying a single ticket can be topped up at our Customer sercice at the Central Station in Örebro, at a Länstrafiken sales agents, or on the bus. If you buy a Travelcard at one of our sales agents, you can also top up your credit at lanstrafiken.se and pay with a bank card. If you are on a bus you can top up your credit with a minimum of 200 kronor. At other sales agents you can top up from 50 kronor to 2,000 kronor in 50-kronor units. Finding your route There are several ways of finding the right bus route, bus stop and departure time: Länstrafiken website At lanstrafiken.se you will find the Journey Planner. When you do a search our Journey Planner shows the departure time, the bus route, the names of the bus stops and the fare. Länstrafiken app The Journey Planner is also available in our free app, which can be downloaded onto your smartphone. Länstrafiken Customer service Personal assistance is available at Länstrafiken Customer service. 6 Paying for your bus journey 10 Länstrafiken Travelcard containing one of our season tickets. The first time you use the ticket on your card you will need to activate it. Activating a ticket on an Örebro city bus (purple buses): 1) Hold your Travelcard against the ticket reader. 2) Choose the ticket you wish to activate. 3) Hold the card against the reader again to activate your ticket. The next time you travel you only need to hold the ticket against the ticket reader. The display will confirm that the journey has been registered. Activating a ticket on regional buses and city buses in Karlskoga and Lindesberg, (blue buses): 1) Tell the driver that you wish to activate your season ticket. 2) Place the Travelcard on the ticket machine beside the driver. The next time you travel you only need to place the card on the ticket machine beside the driver to register your journey. Länstrafiken Travelcard topped up with credit (buying a single ticket). On Örebro city buses (purple buses): 1) Choose the type of ticket from the options shown on the ticket reader (Adult, Young Person or Family). 2) Hold the card against the reader. The fare will be deducted from your credit. If several people are travelling using the same Travelcard, repeat the procedure for each person. On regional buses and city buses in Karlskoga and Lindesberg (blue buses): 1) Tell the driver where you wish to travel. If you would like a receipt, tell the driver before you pay. 2) Place the Travelcard on the ticket machine beside the driver. The fare will be deducted from your credit and the ticket will be available on your Travelcard. Länstrafiken app (buying a single ticket) Buy a ticket using the app on your smartphone before you enter the bus and show the ticket displayed on your phone to the driver. Downloading the app onto your smartphone is easy. Go to App Store or Google Play, search for Länstrafiken Örebro and follow the instructions. Before you use it the first time, you will need to link any future purchases made using the app to choose a method of payment bank card or invoice. Bank card (buying a single ticket) Inform the driver of your destination and pay using your bank card. Keep hold of the paper ticket for the duration of your journey. Ticket inspection If there is a ticket inspection and you do not have a valid ticket, you will be asked to pay an additional charge (Inspection fee) as well as the fare according to the current Länstrafiken fare rules and regulations. Paying for your train journey Information about how to pay for a single ticket with credit or use your season ticket for travel by train is available on the yellow ticket machines on the platforms. You can buy your ticket no earlier than 30 minutes before the train is due to depart. If you have not bought a single ticket before you board the train, or if you have not registered your season ticket, you must buy a ticket on the train at the price and using the method of payment specified by the train company

7 Ticket information Ticket information Season ticket A range of season tickets are available: County ticket, Commuter ticket, City ticket, Off-Peak ticket and Leisure ticket. These are not linked to a specific individual and can be lent to another person. All season tickets are valid for unlimited travel for 31 consecutive days. The ticket is activated the first time you use it. County ticket Price category: Adult or Young Person. Area: City buses, regional buses and train throughout the whole of the County of Örebro and across the county border to Grängesberg, Götlunda (route 321 only), Arboga (route 351 only), Vingåker, Kristinehamn (including city buses), Storfors. Filipstad and with Tåg i Bergslagen (train) to Ludvika and Skinnskatteberg. Not valid on X2000/SJ express trains. Commuter ticket Price category: Adult or Young Person. Area: travel with regional traffic (train and bus) between two selected locations within the county and includes city busses if there is any adjacent to the locations. The ticket can be bought over the county border to the same locations that are included in the area for the County ticket. City ticket Price category: Adult or Young Person. Area: City buses in the centre of Örebro, Karlskoga (the whole of Karlskoga municipaliy) or Lindesberg. Off-Peak ticket Price category: Adult. Area: Can be selected for city or county. When selecting city it is possible to choose Örebro, Karlskoga (the whole of Karlskoga municipaliy) or Lindesberg. With an Off-peak ticket for the county is it possible to travel according to the locations covered by the County ticket. Both varieties are valid weekdays 9am 3pm and after 6pm, and all day Saturday/Sunday and public holidays. Leisure ticket Price category: Adult. Area: same as the County ticket. Valid weekdays after 5pm, and all day Saturday/Sunday and public holidays. Extend your season ticket You can extend your season ticket to cover a new period. Don t forget to activate your ticket the first time. You can use your season ticket as part payment for futher travel by singel tickets with train both within the county and over the county border. Annual ticket Price category: Adult or Young Person. Area: As specified for the selected season ticket. Season tickets (County ticket, Commuter ticket, City ticket, Off-Peak ticket and Leisure ticket) can also be paid for by autogiro as an Annual Ticket. You pay for the first 10 months and receive the two final months for free. A separate order form is used. Unlimited travel for 12 months according to the validity of the ticket. A Lost Ticket Guarantee is included. An order form is available at lanstrafiken.se and it must be received by Länstrafiken no later than the 15th of the month prior to the month in which you wish to begin using the Annual Ticket. See our website for more information. Single ticket Price category: Adult, Young Person, Family or Group. (Group is only available on board the bus) Area: City buses and regional buses. Länstrafiken credit can also be used for journeys made using Tåg i Bergslagen, Västtåg/Kinnekulletåget, Värmlandstrafik trains and TÅGAB throughout the whole of the County of Örebro. To get the best price for a single ticket we recommend you to buy it before boarding the bus. It is possible to buy a single ticket through our app, by topping up your credit on a Travelcard or by buying a single ticket from one of our sales agents. If you buy a single ticket on board the bus you have to pay with a bank card. The price on board is higher than if you buy presale. On a city bus, you have unlimited travel for three hours. If you buy a single ticket for a regional bus the ticket is valid for the selected journey. A ticket for a regional bus may be bought no earlier than 20 minutes before departure if you buy it in our app. You must also have chosen the method of payment bank card or invoice

8 Price category When you travel with Länstrafiken the following price categories apply: Child: 0 6 years. Two children travel for free with each paying passenger. The third child and any subsequent children pay the Young Person fare. Young Person: 7 19 years. Adult: 20 years and older. Family: Up to 5 persons of whom 1-2 are adults and the others are children or young persons. Group: If you travel with a larger group of people (up to a max of 50 persons) you can get a paper ticket for the whole group. Each paying passenger may be accompanied by two children who travel for free up to the day on which they reach the age of seven. The third child and any subsequent children pay the Young Person fare. Children who are not accompanied by a paying passenger pay the Young Person fare. For safety reasons, children under the age of six should not travel alone. Young persons pay the Young Person fare up to the date on which they reach the age of 20. Identification may be requested. Other tickets School card: There are two options - School Card Junior and School Card Senior The School Cards are not sold to the general public. Special rules apply. For more information, go to our website lanstrafiken.se Company Card With the Länstrafiken Company Card, companies, public authorities and organisations can improve the efficiency of their business travel and at the same time make an important environmental contribution. The card is not linked to a specific person and can be used by anyone at the workplace to buy a single ticket for travel on Länstrafiken buses. Journeys are invoiced once a month. Medical appointment If you have received a written medical appointment in the Örebro County Region, you can travel to your appointment by regional bus or city bus free of charge. Show your appointment card to the driver and you will receive a ticket, which together with your appointment card will allow you to travel. Transfer to another bus or train Regional bus to regional bus When your journey involves switching from one regional bus to another, you can buy a ticket to cover the whole journey to your final destination. This is the cheapest way to travel. Regional bus to city bus When you begin your journey on a regional bus, a transfer ticket to a city bus is included automatically if a city bus is available at your destination. The transfer time varies depending on how far you travel by regional bus. City bus to regional bus Show your ticket from the city bus to the driver of the regional bus and ask to buy a transfer icket. Train to citybus When you begin your journey by train, a transfer ticket to a city bus is included automatically if a city bus is available at your destination. The transfer time varies depending on how far you travel by regional train. City bus to train On a city bus you simply tell the bus driver that you wish to buy a ticket to cover the whole journey to your final destination

9 Useful information when travelling with us Sometimes streets and roads are closed off in connection to major public events. In that case buses will take an alternative route. Information about this will be posted at the bus stop, on information display boards and on our website lanstrafiken.se Prams with children and walking aids can be taken on board if there is sufficient space. For safety reasons they must be placed in a way that they do not block the aisle. It is always the driver who decides how many prams/walking aids can be carried without putting the safety of passengers at risk. Dogs, cats and other small pets travel by bus free of charge. They must be kept on a lead or in a cage/basket. You are responsible for ensuring that your pet does not cause discomfort to other passengers. Seats for the disabled are marked. Bicycles are carried on regional buses and Tåg i Bergslagen, space permitting, although no more than two. Where seatbelts are fitted they must be worn during the journey. Our buses are also approved for standing passengers. Signal clearly to the driver that you wish the bus to stop. If it is dark, it is recommended that you wear a highvisibility jacket, vest or band. When two buses pull up at a bus stop at the same time, the bus at the rear will not drive forward and stop again. Passengers must instead enter the bus at the point at which the bus stops first Remember that some people could have an allergy. If you have a pet with you, or if you are wearing stable clothes, please show consideration for the other passengers and go to the back of the bus. Strong scent could set off an asthma attack. It would be appreciated if you showed consideration for potential asthma sufferers. For the enjoyment of everyone it is not permitted to smoke, drink alcohol or eat food, peanuts or ice cream on the bus. wear roller-skates or rollerblades on the bus. Travel Guarantee If your journey with us is delayed by more than 20 minutes and the fault rests with Länstrafiken, you are entitled to compensation under our Travel Guarantee. The Travel Guarantee does not apply in the case of unforeseen events over which we have no control what is termed force majeure. Nor does it apply in the event of a road accident, strike, boycott, official action or other similar action. Exceptions to the Travel Guarantee are also made in the case of traffic disruptions Länstrafiken has announced at least four days before your journey commenced.
