1 New Consultant Orientation: Part One, Successful Beginnings Congratulations on your new Scentsy business! We are excited you have joined our team! This training is part one of a three part series designed with new Consultants in mind and focuses on the following key points: New Consultant Start Up Guide o Scentsy Mission Statement o Personalizing your Personal Website (PWS) o Launching your Business o Monthly Subscriptions and Fees Consultant Workstation o Order Entry o Host Rewards o Perpetual Party Reward Incentives, Awards, and Recognition o Shooting Star Enhancement Kit o Scentsational Start The Scentsy Mission To bring value to the world by providing an industry leading, family friendly business opportunity selling creative, artistic, high quality products that Warm the Heart, Enliven the Senses, and Inspire the Soul. Personalizing your Personal Website The first three months are FREE! After three months, the cost is only 10 per month. To customise your Personal Website (PWS), log in to your Workstation and select Edit My Personal Website in the upper left corner. Once on the My Website Manager page, you can personalise your information by using tabs along the top of the page. You can add your own photo; add your personal Scentsy Story, and change content, images, and features. Please refer to the New Consultant Start up Guide for more detailed information.
2 Launching Your Business Set a goal o Clearly define your primary Scentsy Goal and write it down. A written goal is proven to have a much higher rate of success. Plan your Launch Party o New Consultant Orientation Part 2 explains this further, but start thinking about it now. Create your contact list o In your New Consultant Start up Guide, there is space provided for you to fill in your contacts. o Get creative and let everyone know about your new Scentsy business. Use business cards o Use the generic business cards included in your Starter Kit o Develop your own using the business card template found on the Resources tab in your Workstation. Review your Start up Guide for information on successful parties, host rewards, creating income and other important information for running your new business. Monthly Subscriptions/Fees Scentsy offers its Consultants monthly Personal Website (PWS) and international service fees. You can access, change, or add the completely optional subscriptions and international service fees by going to the Account tab on your Workstation. Personal Website (PWS) o 10 per month, VAT inclusive o Allows you to sell and promote Scentsy products and recruit new Consultants. A PWS subscription is required if you want to sell internationally and/or sponsor new Consultants. In Region International Service Fee o 5 per month, VAT inclusive o Agree to an In Region International Service Fee and enrol in the country specific International Sales and Sponsoring Agreement if you d like to sell or sponsor outside your home country. o You must have a country specific International Sales and Sponsoring Agreement for each country in which you d like to do business. Out of Region International Service Fee o 10 per month, VAT inclusive o Agree to an Out of Region International Service Fee and enrol in the country specific International Sponsoring Agreement if you d like to sponsor Scentsy Consultants outside of your home Scentsy Region. You cannot sell Scentsy Products outside of your home Scentsy Region.
3 The Consultant Workstation is one of your most important business tools. You will use it to place and track orders, set up parties, track your sales, get information on Scentsy news and events, and so much more! Detailed workstation training is included in New Consultant Orientation Part 3; here we will focus on Order Entry. Order Entry There are two ways to start an order; click the Orders tab then select the order type or click the order type next to the purple shopping bag. Either option will take you to the same order entry screens. Next, determine the party type. Select Home, Basket, Fair & Show, Fundraiser, or Individual. Fill in the fields and click Continue.
4 Click Add a New Guest to enter the guests at your party. After entering each guest s information, click Save and Add Another. When you are finished, click Save & Return to Carts. After adding your guests, place your cursor in the SKU box of your first guest. Enter the code (available in your catalogue) or type a key word. In this instance, we entered Bamboo Tali. The drop down box will provide a list of options based on your search. Click the desired item, enter the quantity, and then click Add to Cart.
5 Once an item is added, the SKU, full name, price, quantity, and PRV (personal retail volume) will display. Repeat above steps as needed to complete each guest order. Host Rewards Once you have entered at least 150 of Scentsy retail product on the party (VAT inclusive, excluding shipping and handling charges), the option to add Half Price and Host Credit items will become available on the blue Host product entry bar. The Host Reward Fee will be removed from the Host cart as soon as all available Half Price items have been entered. Each party also earns one additional half price item, to be used as the Perpetual Party Reward. Select Half Price item(s) then add to cart. Select Host Credit item(s) then add to cart.
6 The available rewards are displayed in the Order Summary box. If you have selected an item above the credit amount, the Host will pay the overage. Though you don t earn Personal Retail Volume (PRV) on Host Rewards, you will earn PRV in the event of an overage. Perpetual Party Reward As mentioned above, each party also earns one additional half price item, to be used as the Perpetual Party Reward. This additional half price item is to be given to a party Host when he or she attends a party booked by a guest at his or her own party. Once the party has reached 150 in Scentsy retail product (VAT inclusive, excluding shipping and handling charges), you will see the option to Give Perpetual Party Reward to located above the Host cart. Click the drop down arrow to select the Host or Guest who should receive the item. Enter the SKU for the Perpetual Party Reward, and then click Apply. Note: Once the item has been redeemed, the Give Perpetual Party Reward option will disappear and the selected item will be added to the chosen Host or Guest with a price tag icon.
7 When you are finished with all guest carts, click Continue. You will enter payment information on the next screen. Fill in each field; click the small purple button, Add to Payments. Follow this process for each guest until all payments have been entered. When the balance due is 0.00, you may click the large purple button Process Payments & Continue. The next screen displays the receipt for the order and provides an order number. This is confirmation your order has been successfully submitted to Scentsy. You can view your completed orders on the Home page of your Workstation or click the Orders tab.
8 Awards and Recognition A complete list of awards and recognition are included in your New Consultant Start up Guide, but we will highlight the two programmes that will jump start your Scentsy business. Shooting Star Enhancement Kit o Sell 500 points in Personal Retail Volume (PRV) during your first 15 calendar days as a Consultant to earn the option to purchase ten pre selected warmers from the current catalogue. The day you enrol and order your Starter Kit is Day One of the countdown, not when your kit arrives. o You pay 200, VAT inclusive. Shipping is FREE! o Volume is earned and commissions are paid on the Shooting Star Enhancement Kit. o This is a one time offer and must be ordered through Consultant Support within 30 days after the end of the qualification period which is 45 calendar days from the day you enrolled. Scentsational Start Awards Programme o Provides incentives for new Consultants to do those things that will have the greatest impact on their future success bookings, sales, and sponsoring. You will be awarded the highest level award you achieve during your first 70 calendar days. Day One is the day you enrol as a Consultant. o Scentsational Start Award Level 1 Qualifications 1,250 points in Personal Retail Volume (PRV) or Three personally sponsored active Consultants Award Received Product Credit Green Scentsy Scentsational Start lapel pin Certificate of Achievement Scentsational Start Award Level 2 Qualifications 2,500 points in PRV or 1,250 points in PRV and three personally sponsored active Consultants Award Received 104 Product Credit Purple Scentsy Scentsational Start lapel pin Certificate of Achievement Scentsational Start Award Level 3 Qualifications 5,000 points in PRV or 2,500 points in PRV and six personally sponsored active Consultants Award Received Product Credit Blue Scentsy Scentsational Start lapel pin Certificate of Achievement Recognition at Annual Convention
