2 How to Get Cash Back on Nearly Everything You Buy We all like a bargain. We love discounts on what we buy. That s probably why we tend to spend more during the Sales season. Nowadays, it s possible for us to get these kinds of reduced prices every day, through Cashback web sites. And it s quite easy to do. This is how to go about it: 1. Set up an account with a Cashback web site. 2. Search for a retailer or a product. 3. Click on the chosen retailer to go to their site. 4. Buy as normal. What happen next is rather clever. The Cashback site tracks the purchase. And because the Cashback site has referred you to the retailer, the retailer gives the Cashback company some commission. That commission is shared with you. There are a number of Cashback companies. Probably the most popular one and the one which I use consistently is Quidco.

3 This is how Quidco works: When Quidco receive their commission, they pay that commission to you. So how does Quidco make a profit? Simple. They retain the first 5 cashback that you earn each year. The rest is paid to you. If your cashback doesn t reach 5, don t worry. You won t get charged more than what you have earned so you won t end up owing anything. Because the cashback rates are quite high with Quidco, it s easy for you to earn the 5. Then you go on to earn lots more for yourself. We ve used Quidco to purchase car insurance (which once gave us a neat little 68 cashback from a special promotion in 2009), and holidays. Those sort of high ticket items increase the cashback pot very nicely. We also use Quidco to buy from sites such as ebay, Wickes, Argos, Play.com, and so on. Recently my watch broke, so I went in search of a new one. After finding a suitable replacement, I searched on Quidco for watch retailers. One was selling the watch at the best price, and was offering 12.5% cashback. It wasn t difficult to make that decision! 4 How to set up an account with Quidco: First of all, visit the Quidco web site. You can access it by clicking here. On the home page, click Join at the top of the screen: Click Join at the top of the screen Now fill in the boxes, answer some optional questions for extra cashback (although you can ignore these if you like), tick to agree to their terms and conditions, and you re done. Simply click the Join Quidco box.

5 Once you re set up with a username and password, you can go searching for retailers or products. Search here Here s a search I did for books : Here you can see the cashback rates. Some retailers (such as Amazon) don t offer cashback, but do have special offers.

6 Simply click on the retailer to be taken to their site. Quidco will track the sale and will pay you commission. Be aware that sometimes the commissions can take several weeks to complete. Some retailers aren t quick at paying out, and they do have to allow for returns and refunds, etc. But you can track the process on the Activity screen. My Quidco To do this, simply go to My Quidco. Then select the Activity tab. Here you can see what s being tracked, what s confirmed, and what s been paid. Explore the site. You ll find lots of special offers.
