How many acres are in production? Does your farm have GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) certification? Is your farm certified organic or does it have any other growing certifications? Please explain your growing practices and agricultural or other products used to enhance a) pest management, b) weed control, and c) soil amendments. Please attach copies of any applicable certifications (see above) to your application.

4 Meat, Dairy, Egg, Poultry Producer Practices Are your animals pasture raised? Please explain your pasture-based practices. Do you use any additives or injectables to supplement the animals diet? If yes, what do you use? Describe nutrition and forage practices: Do you use any hormones, antibiotics or growth promoters to maintain the animals health? If yes, what do you use? How do you manage invasive weeds in the pasture? List any mechanical controls, fertilizers or herbicides used. List any processors used for meat processing: Do you require electricity for mechanical refrigeration for your products? For any non-state or federal inspected meats, please attach HACCP plans.

6 Schlafly Farmers Market Guidelines The Schlafly Farmers Market is a mid-week market managed by Schlafly and held at Schlafly Bottleworks, which provides live music, beer & food. The market features 28+ farmers & small businesses selling fresh local produce, meat, eggs, honey, bread, mushrooms, preserves, chocolate, bedding plants & more. Who can sell and what can be sold? 1) All items sold by the Marketers must be grown, raised, processed or produced locally in Missouri or Illinois. 2) Marketers need to be the producer or work for the producer. 3) Any items bought from a wholesaler, retail establishment or any other grower will not be allowed for re-sale. No exceptions. What does the Marketer need to provide the St. Louis Brewery/Schlafly Bottleworks when they join the market? 1) Certificate of General Liability Insurance. Please send in with application or have your insurance company it to farmersmarket@schlafly.com. 2) Possession of any other permits, certificates or licenses required by the state, county or city to vend your product, for example egg licenses and STL County Health Permits. St. Louis County requires all vendors to have a farmers market permit, which can be downloaded here (at bottom of page): 3) You may pay weekly market fee of $20 ($10 for nonprofits) at the market or pay $550 (discount of $50) for the entire season. Winter Market fees are $30 for food vendors and $40 for crafters/artisans. Please make checks out to The Saint Louis Brewery and mail to: Schlafly Bottleworks, 7260 Southwest Ave., Maplewood, MO What should the Marketer bring to each market? 1) Marketer will provide their own 10 x 10 tent/canopy and tables. Canopy required by health department for all food items. Marketers are responsible for setting up, breaking down and securing their own tents and tables. Marketers must bring weights to secure their tents, or they will not be allowed to vend. 2) Any Marketer selling products by weight must have a legal for-trade scale approved by Missouri Weights and Measures. 3) If the Marketer needs to plug in an electric cooler, please let the Market Manager know in advance. Space with electricity is limited. Vendor Agreement for SNAP/EBT (Food Stamps) The Schlafly Farmers Market has a SNAP (food stamp) program. The market s goal, with you as partners, is to provide a value-added revenue source for the vendors and to offer fresh fruits and vegetables to low-income families who receive SNAP benefits. Shoppers are able to use their SNAP cards in exchange for Market Tokens. SNAP/food stamp tokens come in $1 and $5 increments and say Schlafly Farmers Market on them. Change should not be given on SNAP tokens, and tax shall not be charged. SNAP tokens are only good for EBT eligible foods that are outlined below. We also have a Matching Dollar program where we double the amount SNAP users get. These tokens come in $1 increments, say SNAP 2 It! on them and can ONLY be used to buy fruits and vegetables. Vendors will be reimbursed for tokens received at the end of each market. For consistency in the program and clarity for the market customer, we require that all vendors participate in

7 the program. Customers will purchase SNAP tokens at the market booth. Due to Federal Regulations that surround SNAP, we are asking vendors to sign this agreement to assure that they are aware of the rules of the program. SNAP (Food Stamp) CAN be used to buy: Fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, dairy products, seeds & plants intended for growing food. SNAP (Food Stamp) can NOT be used to buy: Non-food items, ready to eat and hot foods. SNAP 2 It! Double Dollars CAN ONLY be used to buy: Fruits, vegetables. Attendance/Space Protocol Marketers will be assigned a space at the market. Regular attendance is required. Please notify Market Manager by 5pm on Tuesday if unable to attend a market so spaces can be filled. Repeated tardiness or absences without notification is ground for expulsion from the market. The market has two outer aisles and two inner aisles. Those marketers assigned outer aisle spaces can unload from their vehicles from 1:30p.m. until 3:00p.m. Those assigned inner aisle spaces will have to walk in equipment and set-up from 3:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. After load-in vehicles must be parked in East lot, far West lot (including school lot that opens at 3:30pm) or on the street to give as many spaces to customers as possible. General Market Rules The Marketer is responsible for setting their own prices, respecting other prices, and displaying them clearly for the customers. The playing of loud music in stalls is prohibited. No pets are allowed in stalls. Be respectful of market customers and other vendors. The Market accepts SNAP/EBT (food stamp) payments and all vendors are expected to take such payments on eligible products. No Marketer shall use false pack. As used herein, false pack means the topping or facing of containers with the best products exposed and poor products concealed underneath. The Marketer is responsible for leaving area as you found it empty clean and picked up. Any waste must be placed in dumpster. Ask manager for assistance. The Market, Schlafly Bottleworks & Saint Louis Brewery LLC and its employees, agents or officials are hereby released from any responsibility or liability for loss or damage of merchandise while it is being stored in this location. ***As a Marketer you can enjoy 50% off all in-house food and beer at Bottleworks on the day of the Market. Please let the bartender and restaurant staff know that you are with the Farmers Market when you order, and remember it is customary to base tip on the full amount of the bill, not the discounted amount. *** By signing this document, you agree that you have carefully read, understand and agree to all the provisions in the Schlafly Farmers Market Guidelines.
