6 ACCESS TO THE FRAMEWORK Access to the Framework: The framework can be accessed via direct award. Please contact your dedicated Account Manager or our Customer Care Team to log your interest and then the Category Manager will make contact to discuss your requirement. There is no obligation to conduct a mini competition under this framework. Where customers have a requirement for products which fall under this category, they can simply contract directly with nominated suppliers appointed to the framework agreement. HTE will provide support to customers before making informed choices, by conducting benchmarking activities to compare existing costs on a like for like and alternative basis. Informed decisions can then be made on the preferred framework suppliers who can meet the customer s needs. There may also be occasion where products may be subject to trial before adoption if the customer desires to switch to an alternative equivalent. Call Off Contracts The call off process is formalised by issuing an order to the supplier identified as offering best value for money. In all instances HTE should be informed once a Trust has entered into a contract with a supplier under this framework agreement. To ensure compliance to the framework agreement a separate order form / access agreement should be exchanged and completed between the Trust and HTE. Page 5 of 6

7 FAQS What should I do next? Following the receipt of the Trust spend HTE will conduct a benchmarking analysis of products currently used to identify the saving opportunity. If the benefit analysis proves favourable, Trusts should migrate as quickly as they can to the new framework to obtain the immediate saving and OJEU compliance. Further consolidation of suppliers can also be undertaken with input from the Trust regarding the suitability of the products supplied. Please discuss this further with your Account Manager in the first instance. How can I see more detail regarding the products that are included on this framework? Once we have released the framework contract reference number you will be able to view the contract via the catalogue browser. You will be able to see line level detail for all products. The only thing you will not be able to view is the individual product pricing, unless we have already set you up to be able to order from the framework. If you are unsure how to access or use Catalogue Browser, please contact the Customer Care Team on or customercare@htepg.com What do I do if the items that my organisation uses are not in the range on the framework? Please the Customer Care Team, providing as much information as possible regarding the products required (i.e. supplier name, product description, product code, UOM, current price paid excluding VAT). The Customer Care Team will liaise with the Category Team to address your requirements. The Category Team will verify whether your requirements are covered by another of our frameworks or whether the product code has changed. If required, the team will contact the appropriate supplier and arrange for addition of the items to the framework. Page 6 of 6
