1 Deal Registration - FAQ 1. What are the benefits of the New Deal Registration Program? A. The program provides extra discount (on top of the partner default discount) on deals above $20K: 25 points discount on New Customer deals 15 points discount on Competitive replacement and/or emerging technology deals B. Only registered deals are applicable to receive additional NSP discounts 2. Who is eligible to participate in the Deal Registration program? This Program is offered to Check Point s certified resellers. If you are not sure if you are a Check Point certified reseller, please contact Check Point Partner Alliance: cppa@checkpoint.com 3. Do I need to register every deal? Registration is not mandatory, but provides significant benefits. Deal registration will apply on deals (Products, Services and Support) with List Price value of $20,000 or above. For deals less than $20K (List Price) 6 points will be added to the default discount (Products, Services and Support) without the need to register. 4. In case I choose multiple deals, which discount will I receive? In case multiple discounts are selected, only the highest discount will be applied 5. How is a new customer defined? A new customer is defined as one who did not purchase any services, products or support in the last 3 years. 6. What is needed in order to receive the 15 points discount on Emerging Technology deals? To earn 15 points discount on Emerging Technology deals- the list price of the Emerging Technology portion must be above $20K. 7. Which Security Solutions are considered as Emerging Technology in the Deal Registration Program? 1. SandBlast Security Solutions: Threat Emulation and Threat Extraction dedicated appliances or service blades (NGTX, TEX( 2. Mobility Security Solutions: Mobile Threat Prevention (MTP), Capsule Docs, Capsule Workspace, Capsule Cloud 3. vsec - Private and Public cloud security solutions: vsec for NSX, vsec for ACI, vsec for AWS, vsec for Azure, vsec for Google cloud

2 8. What is needed in order to receive the 15 points discount on Competitive Replacement deals? To earn 15 points discount on Competitive Replacement deals, one must mark the Check box of the Competitive replacement in the Deal Registration form (Under Deal Details ) and specify the vendor which is replaced. 9. Can two different partners submit a Deal Registration request for the same business opportunity? Yes. However, only one partner will receive an approval to its registration from Check Point which will enable only that partner to receive the extra 25/15/6 points discount and the ability to request NSP. 10. How can I register my deal to this program? 1. Go to Partner Map: Click on Register New Deal. 2a. Choose between Existing Customer or New Customer 2b. In cases of Competitive replacement- mark the check box and pick the relevant vendor

3 2c. Fill in the Deal details 2. In Emerging Technology deals the 15 points discount is automatically calculated once the List price of the Emerging Technology portion in the deal is above $20K. 11. How will my deal registration request be approved? Upon submission of your deal registration you will receive a confirmation with your unique Deal Registration ID. Your deal information will be verified by Check Point s representatives and you will be notified again once your deal is approved / rejected. 12. How can I see my deal registration status? 1. Go to P-MAP: click My Deal Registrations

4 2. Check your status, updated deal type and discount 13. When will my deal registration request be approved? Internal review by Check Point s representatives will be completed within 2 business days and you will be notified with the outcome. 14. How can I see the status of the deals I registered? Following the first deal registration submission you will be able to view a summary and status of all the deals you and your colleagues registered on webpage: My Deal Registrations. 15. How do I apply the discount when I generate a quote through Product Catalog? In the Cart page, under the Order Information section, click on the banner Up to 25% discount

5 Select New Customer or Competitive replacement (In Emerging Technology deals the DR discount is automatically calculated once the List price of the Emerging Technology portion in the deal is above $20K) In case of Competitive Replacement choose the vendor you are replacing from the pick list. In case of New Customer and/or Competitive Replacement the 25/15 points discount is automatically calculated if the deal value is above $20K (Price List) If the deal value is below $20K, this disclaimer will appear: 16. Once my registered deal is approved- how do I apply for the additional program discount? Once you receive confirmation that your registered deal has been approved, you can place an order immediately. In order to get the discount- the Deal registration ID must be mentioned on the PO submitted to Check Point. 17. How long will my registered deal be secured once approved? Your deal registration will be secured for 90 days from the time of approval by Check Point. 18. Can I extend my deal registration expiration date? An reminder will be sent to you 30 days prior to your deal registration expiration. You will be able

6 to submit an extension request of an additional 30 days (maximum 120 days in total) through your local Check Point representative. If no extension is requested and approved by the 90-day expiration date, your deal will be automatically rejected. You will then need to submit a new deal registration request and it will go through the same approval cycle with Check Point. 19. What if my deal registration was approved but the customer chose to work with another reseller? Check Point will not compensate resellers for an approved deal registration which eventually closed with another reseller. 20. Can Check Point distributors participate in this program? Yes - Distributors are able to submit deal registration requests to Check Point on behalf of their partners. 7 Deal Registration - Extension To extend your Deal Registration date, please follow the instructions below: Go to webpage: Check Point PartnerMAP My Deal Registrations In the Deal Registration table the Valid Until column displays the expiration date for each deal. When the date turns red you can ask to extend your deal. Extension Policies You can submit a Deal Extension Request once only. Deal Extension Request extends the deal s expiration date for another 90 days. Deal Registration Dates Status:

8 More details for each case Click the red colored date, a pop-up screen displays, where you can submit an extension request with a justification: After submitting your extension request, it will be directed to the current Deal Registration s owner for approval: When the Deal Registration s owner approves the request, expiration date will be increased to 90 days: If the Deal Registration owner rejects the extension request, the expiration date will remain the same: In addition, only registered deals will be able to receive additional discount (NSP).
