2 Preferred Hotels & Resorts - 50 th Anniversary Preferred Hotels & Resorts has been inspiring travel for 50 years and as 2018 will mark the date for this milestone anniversary we are pleased to share with you some exciting initiatives planned for the year. Inspiring Travel means we have ideas, we are always curious. Travel is important, not trivial. Travel answers a human need in the audience. We are actively looking forward. 3 50 th Anniversary Celebration Best Practices 50 th Anniversary Logo Let us know if you would like to incorporate the logo in any of hotel s print or digital collateral, applicable only till 31 Dec, 2018 and we will be happy to share the logo and usage guidelines Opt-in for participation in the following initiatives: Golden Anniversary Co-op Offer (see slide 4) 50 th Anniversary Media Co-Op Events (see slide 5) 50k Bonus Points Campaign, hosted and funded by PH&R (see slide 6) Engage your team and guests in the#preferredcelebrates50 celebration with dedicated posts and features on our social media microsite: (see slide 7 & 8) 3

5 50 th Anniversary Media Events Co-Op Media Events: Hotels are invited to participate in media co-op gatherings to directly message their property's unique positioning to key editors and their role in extending #ThePreferredLife to travelers worldwide. Brand-Led Awareness Events: Lindsey Ueberroth and other key executives will host brand awareness events in the following key media markets to boost awareness of the Preferred brand and engage traditional and social media influencers in the 50th anniversary celebration, and spotlight the incredible independent hotel experiences offered across our portfolio: - Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, - New Delhi, India - New York City - Amsterdam - Hong Kong - Mexico City, Mexico - Paris, France - Madrid, Spain - Singapore - Tokyo, Japan - Beijing, China 5

7 Social Media & Dedicated Microsite Join in the buzz and help us celebrate by sharing the news with your social media audiences! Tips to Note Tag your posts with #PreferredCelebrates50 to get featured on the campaign microsite, and have your post seen by our global social media community. In addition to posting on your hotel's dedicated social media account, we also encourage everyone on the hotel team front and back of the house - with a social media account, to join us by sharing their favorite Preferred Hotels memory. Whether it s a photo from a roadshow, at one of our regional conferences, catching up with colleagues-turned-friends, or even visiting another hotel within our brand portfolio we would love to see! Is there someone on your team who is not on social media but who wants to share a memory or wish Preferred a "happy anniversary"? Encourage them to visit and upload a photo/video to be featured. After you share your post, don t forget to browse through other hotel and guest posts by scrolling through the feed on our microsite, or by viewing the hashtag on Instagram and Twitter. 7

8 Social Media Tips Need Post Ideas? How many years has your hotel been a member of Preferred? Share a photo from that year and make it a #tbt or throwback Thursday in your anniversary post. Is your hotel celebrating an anniversary this year? Include both anniversaries in a post to showcase the long history of independent hospitality. Invite your followers and guests to share their favorite travel memory at your hotel over the past 50 (or less) years - including those happening in Don t forget to remind them to tag #PreferredCelebrates50. Share why you are proud to be an independent hotel. Participating in our Golden Anniversary offer? Share the details of that package and link to the offer page to encourage your followers to book. (January 29 February 28) ALL hotel bookings made on PreferredHotels.com during this time frame will receive 50,000 I Prefer points. Direct followers to your hotel s landing page on PreferredHotels.com and invite them to make a reservation to receive this celebratory gift! We also encourage you to share news of our celebration with guests upon check-in so they have the opportunity to join in the celebration via social media as well by tagging #PreferredCelebrates50 and have the chance to be featured.
