2 Working together for risk prevention bring your boss The IOSH Ireland Branch Annual Conference 2014 has a bring your boss theme, which will encourage employers and line managers to enter the realm of health and safety management. The first 20 bookings can bring their boss as a guest free of charge. This ground-breaking and novel approach helps to ensure that employers and line managers have a better understanding of health and safety management and how we can work together to reduce risk. IOSH members strive constantly to achieve higher standards of health and safety management and to go beyond what we have already achieved. Employers want and need meaningful, practical and business-like advice on risk management. With the ongoing economic difficulties faced by businesses in all sectors, our profession is striving continually to help maintain the standards achieved to date and to develop better risk management strategies and programmes. Speakers The speakers at this year s conference have been selected on the basis of their wide range of employment backgrounds and disciplines. Each contributor will give us a unique insight into occupational risk management in a particular field of business. At the end of each round of presentations there will be a question-and-answer session.
