1 View Bidding Status - Auctions Bid Monitor Console The bidding console consists of the following 3 frames: Auction Action Frame (top section) consists of five pages that are identified by tabs. Each tab offers a slightly different picture of the bidding activity and supplier participation. Participants Frame (bottom left) lists the participants in the auction. The color of each participant s status box indicates their current connectivity status. Saving/Bid Summary (bottom right) provides summary information on the current bid and how it compares with the baseline. Individual windows can be: Resized (expanded/collapsed) to focus on the contents. Click the double-ended arrow icon. Printed to refer to later or to make notes about the event activities. 2 Participants Participants Frame Lists the participants in the auction. The color of each participant s status icon indicates their connectivity status. The status is displayed for the organization and individual users. Status Key button - displays a list of color codes used in the Participants frame. Values include: Green Logged in Yellow Logged in but no bids for the last 10 minutes Red Logged in but no activity for the last 10 minutes Black Logged Out Gray Not Accepted The icons in the Options column of the Participants frame include: Revoke Invitation (trash can icon) provides the ability to revoke the invitation and participation in the event. Reset Password (window and lock icon) reset a supplier s password. Submit a Surrogate Bid (card with SB icon) place a surrogate bid for the supplier. Copyright 2014 Exostar LLC All Rights Reserved 2

3 Saving/Bid Summary Window Saving/Bid Summary: Lists summary information on the current bid and how it compares with the baseline. This reflects both transformed and bid/savings information. Baseline: Historical Cost times the total # of units being sourced. Current Total Bid: Total of all current winning bids on all line items in the auction. Savings from Baseline: Baseline minus Current Total Bid. Savings from Preliminary: All the Preliminary Bids (possibly the lowest bids from an imported RFQ) times the # of units across all line items. Total # of Bids: All bids received for the auction. Auction Action Frame Summary View Auction Action Frame consists of five pages of information identified by the tabs. The Summary tab displays basic information about the items in the auction. It includes the most recent bid and how it compares to the baseline. If you use Bid Transformations, you can filter the Price view by bid price and/or transformed price. Copyright 2014 Exostar LLC All Rights Reserved 3

4 If Bid Transformation has been enabled. The supplier bid and the bid value is transformed based on the predefined formula that includes the suppliers actual bid as part of the formula. You can filter the Savings view by using the drop down menu to choose Best Cost or Single Source at Every Level. Auction Action Frame Rank and Savings View The Rank and Savings tab provides supplier bid information on an item-by-item basis. This view displays suppliers rankings at the line item level of the auction. Auction Action Frame Matrix View The Matrix tab provides the comparison matrix of high and low bid for different suppliers. This feature lets you examine the range of bids by selected suppliers. 5 Auction Action Frame Supplier Details The Supplier Details tab provides supplier by supplier bid information for each line item in the auction. The Incumbent Supplier icon (card with an I ) will identify this supplier(s). The partial red B icon visible in the Bid Quantity column indicates this bid is a Partial Quantity bid. Auction Action Frame Bid History The Bid History tab provides a reverse chronological list (most recent bid is first) of the bids for each supplier across the auction. The Suppliers, Lot and Items dropdowns will allow you to filter the data. The Incumbent Supplier icon (card with an I ) will identify this supplier(s).
