2 T H E V I S I O N We envision a world where every young person has the supportive relationships, knowledge and agency to be leaders of peace and agents of change. To drive towards this vision, The Players Tribune, PeacePlayers and MENTOR have teamed up to raise awareness about the power of sport and mentoring to unify our communities and our country. This ongoing partnership will include promotion and storytelling that elevates the impact of relationship-centered approaches to youth development, and will help drive increased resources to PeacePlayers and MENTOR through an inaugural fundraising event and online raffle. The collaboration leverages PeacePlayers and MENTOR s existing friendship and their extensive relationships with Nike, the NBA and WBNA, NCAA Basketball, My Brother s Keeper, and the private sector. It is also in alignment with furthering The Players Tribune Assist efforts, the platform for The Players Tribune contributing athletes to share the charitable causes they support and raise awareness about initiatives that aim to better our society.

3 An international 501c3 nonprofit headquartered in Washington, DC, PeacePlayers' mission is to unite communities in conflict through sport. PeacePlayers offers sport programming, peace education, and leadership development to those living in communities in conflict. Since being founded in 2001, PeacePlayers has reached more than 75,000 youth and more than 2,000 coaches through year-round programs in Northern Ireland, Cyprus, South Africa and the Middle East, as well as through training and technical assistance projects in additional markets across the world. In 2017, PeacePlayers also established new U.S. programming in Detroit, Brooklyn and Baltimore to change perceptions through sport by helping to rebuild trust between police and their communities. PeacePlayers provides youth with the skills to confront conflict with empathy as they grow into ambassadors for peace to show that if you can play together, you can learn to live together. MENTOR is a national 501c3 nonprofit headquartered in Boston, MA. MENTOR s mission is to fuel the quality and quantity of mentoring relationships for America's young people and to close the mentoring gap for the one in three young people growing up without the critical support that is needed for them to develop into thriving, productive and engaged adults. MENTOR drives the investment of time and money into high impact mentoring programs through advocacy, influence strategy and public awareness and advances quality mentoring through the development and delivery of standards, cutting-edge research, state-of-the-art tools, and a national network of local capacity and movement builders.

4 T H E E V E N T A Night of Unity will be a celebration of impact, hosted at The Players Tribune headquarters in Manhattan s Canoe Studios on Thursday, September 20. It will bring together new and existing supporters for an evening of entertainment, networking and inspiration. Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with high profile individuals from sports, media and business, participate in fun and unique activations, and hear powerful stories from those whose lives have been changed through mentoring and sport. Bill Russell and Jay Wright will serve as honorary co-chairs for the event, and awards will be presented in their names to deserving youth and programs. An online raffle hosted by Omaze will strengthen the promotion and fundraising efforts by offering one-of-a-kind experiences to participants around the world in the weeks leading up to the event.

5 THE HONOREE A Night of Unity will honor Ron Shapiro, long-time champion of both PeacePlayers and MENTOR. As Chairman Emeritus of PeacePlayers Board of Directors and a strategic partner and investor in MENTOR, Ron has helped shape and propel both organizations' visions and unlocked tremendous support and investment to drive relationships and unity through sport and beyond. He is also a respected leader in the world of sports and entertainment as a former agent, consultant to franchises, negotiations expert, and master mentor to many. Because of Ron s lifelong servant leadership and commitment to expanding opportunities for youth, we are thrilled to honor him with the inaugural Unity Award.
