11 Select Location for SNAP Acceptance Review USDA SNAP requirements when selecting a location: ition-assistance-program SNAP must be used for grocery items,, not pre-prepared foods. A campus grocery store or c-store may qualify, an all-you-care-to-eat resident dining hall, campus restaurant or bookstore would not. Stores with more than 50 percent of their total gross retail sales in hot and/or cold prepared foods not intended for home preparation and consumption do not qualify for participation as retail food stores.

12 USDA SNAP Requirements Continued Must offer for sale, on a continuous basis whenever the store is open, at least three varieties of qualifying foods in each of the four staple food groups, with perishable foods in at least two categories. 13 Complete Online SNAP Application Create account, complete application and submit supporting documentation: Determine point person to list on the application to receive notification of your approval the USDA can take days + to review and approve your application.

14 Application is Approved Work through financial logistics to ensure SNAP transactions will be processed You may need to order a separate card read for the SNAP card
