4 4 1. What you should know Your HSBC Business Debit Card (which we ll call your Debit Card ) comes with these Additional Conditions (which we ll call Card Terms ). They set out what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. You should read them together with our Business Banking Terms and Conditions, which also apply especially the parts that talk about Cardholders, making Debit Card Payments and using Debit Cards. For the most up-to-date versions of these Card Terms, our Business Banking Terms and Conditions, the Business Banking Made Easy brochure and our Price List, just ask us in any HSBC branch, by phone or find them on our website. 1.1 Where there are differences Where there s a conflict between these Card Terms and our Business Banking Terms and Conditions, these Card Terms take precedence. If there s a conflict between these Card Terms and the Customer Information Appendix in our Business Banking Terms and Conditions, the Customer Information Appendix takes precedence. 1.2 Technical language Some of the words and phrases in this document have a specific meaning. We ve capitalised these words, and included them in the Glossary at the end of our Business Banking Terms and Conditions, so you know exactly what we mean. 1.3 We, you and Connected Person In these Card Terms When we say we, we mean HSBC Group companies who act as a data controller in respect of your personal data. Unless otherwise stated below, the data controller for the purposes of this notice HSBC UK Bank plc. The following HSBC Group companies will act as a data controller where you hold a product or service with them: HSBC Life (UK) Limited, HSBC Trust Company (UK) Limited; HSBC Executor and Trustee Company (UK) Limited; Trustees of the HSBC Self- Invested Personal Pension; and HSBC Finance Limited. In the Customer Information Appendix in our Business Banking Terms and Conditions By you and your we mean the person named on the Business Debit Cardholder Application Form as our customer. Any reference to a Connected Person in that Appendix should be read as applying to you. 2. Your Debit Card and PIN 2.1 Getting and changing your PIN We ll give you a PIN when you take out your Debit Card. You can change it any time. If you change it within thirty days of the date your Debit Card expires, you ll need to change it again when your new Debit Card arrives. This is because your new Debit Card will have reverted to your old PIN.

5 5 2.2 Renewing or replacing your Debit Card We can decide not to replace or renew your Debit Card. We won t replace or renew Debit Cards which originally came from a Business Money Manager account. 2.3 Contactless Debit Cards We may give you a Debit Card that has contactless technology (so you can pay for small things without entering your PIN). There s a limit on how much you can pay per transaction by contactless we ll tell you what this is when we send it to you. The limit may change over time. If it does change, we ll let whoever is the main Customer on your account know (they re responsible for passing the message to you and any other Cardholders). 3. Using your Debit Card 3.1 What you can do with your Debit Card At all our Self-Service machines and at LINK/VISA machines in the UK withdraw cash* check your balance At some Self-Service machines in the UK pay in cash and cheques transfer money between your accounts (Internal Transfers) set up recurring payments make donations to some charities top up your mobile phone withdraw cash in US dollars or euro (we ll show you our current exchange rate, how much you ll get and how much that is in pounds on-screen, before you go ahead then deduct that amount in sterling from your account as soon as you confirm it.) In shops and online anywhere in the UK or overseas that accepts VISA pay for goods and services In shops in the UK get cash-back Overseas withdraw cash* from any Self-Service Machines with the VISA logo. *We ll set a limit on the amount of cash you can withdraw in a day with your Debit Card. We ll tell you what that limit is when we send you your Debit Card. 4. Keeping things 4.1 What you agree to do You agree to take reasonable precautions to keep your Debit Card and security details (such as PINs, security numbers and passwords) safe and secure including (among other things), to:

6 6 Act quickly when you get your Debit Card sign your Debit Card as soon as you get it (if it has a signature strip) destroy any written record of your PINs and any instructions we send you immediately after receipt choose security details for your accounts, cards and services with us that you don t use elsewhere Take precautions only enter your Debit Card details on secure payment websites and software shield the keypad when you re typing in your PIN (at Self-Service Machines, or in shops and restaurants, for example) tell us immediately if you change your name or employer follow any instructions we give you about security. 4.2 What you agree not to do You agree not to: Put your card, PIN or security details at risk let anyone else use your Debit Card or PIN give your Debit Card number, PIN or security details to anyone else (except when you re buying or paying for things) choose a PIN or other security details that might be easy to guess Give away your PIN give your PIN when you re paying for things (whether it s over the phone, over the internet or in person) write down or record your PIN or other security details in a way that someone else might understand tell your PIN to anyone else even us, or the police Use your card wrongly tamper with your Debit Card use your Debit Card to do anything illegal. If you do, the person named on the Business Debit Cardholder Application Form as our customer will be responsible. They may have to pay us and the relevant debit card scheme back in full for whatever you spend, plus any charges. use your Debit Card if it s suspended, cancelled or expired or if you ve changed your employer. 4.3 Loss, theft or misuse of your Debit Card, PIN or security details If you know or suspect that your Debit Card, PIN or security details have been lost, stolen or misused, you agree to: tell us as soon as you reasonably can by calling our 24 hour emergency number (see How to reach us on the first page of these Card Terms) help us and the police with our investigations report any unauthorised transactions to the police within seven days of us asking you to destroy any Debit Cards you ve reported as lost or stolen, if you find them again (by cutting them up, for example) We can give information about you or the account to the police, other authorities or third parties if and only if we think it might help us prevent or recover losses.
