1 Job Title: Digital Marketing Officer (Fixed term initially until 31 st July 2018) Salary: 21,000 to 24,600 Department: Marketing and Student Recruitment Post Responsible To: Marketing Manager Job Purpose: Redcar and Cleveland College is looking to recruit an experienced Digital Marketing Officer to transform its web and social media marketing activity. The successful candidate will have full control over the college website and social media platforms with a key focus on developing engaging content and promotional activity. This is a key post to support learner recruitment to the college and also to raise awareness and sales of its commercial training offer. The role will suit someone who will relish the challenge of owning the digital marketing function for a large educational business, someone who can shape the future of its digital marketing activities by driving change and striving for the best. 2 Key functions of the role: Creating and executing social media campaigns across all college social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and LinkedIn. Create engaging content (video and photography) to promote academic areas within the college and the college facilities to raise awareness to support student recruitment activity. Generate and drive online traffic to the college website and monitor activity to make improvements to its performance. Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns utilising a range of techniques including paid search, SEO, social media and PPC. Responsibility for the management of a digital marketing budget to invest in platform development and innovation. Reviewing the digital landscape to identify areas of best practice that could be utililised in the college. Review new technologies and keep the college at the forefront of digital media in the further education sector. Competitor research and analysis Support marketing and promotional activity (B2B) using the College CRM system to raise awareness of the college commercial training offer. Maintain the college brand online through monitoring the use of the college tone of voice and brand guidelines.

3 Internal and External Relationships: The Digital Marketing Officer will operate across all areas of the marketing service. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the post holder will have autonomy to engage with people from across the college including teaching staff, managers and students to craft engaging social media and web marketing campaigns. As the digital specialist at the college, the Digital Marketing Officer will be the main contact for all web and social media marketing activity and will work closely with the wider college Marketing team on a wide range of campaigns. As part of the Marketing team the Digital Marketing Officer will support the team in formulating and delivering a series of events and open evenings / days and will capture and promote the event activity online. Planning and Organising: The Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible for the development and delivery of the college digital marketing campaign and for the provision of monthly analytics reports to assess web and social media performance each month. Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: Higher Education to Degree level in Marketing, CIM or equivalent/similar qualification is preferred. Assessment Criteria Minimum 2 years experience in managing online channels including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Experience in Snapchat and LinkedIn would be desirable.

4 Experience of automated marketing campaign set-up - planning, implementation, monitoring. Experience with SEO, Google analytics and other analytics tools and producing reports on web and social media performance. Experience of content creation and use in online marketing and promotional work (video clips, teasers, photography, filters) Experience of working with multiple accounts or customers at any one time and an ability to plan workload effectively. Experience in engaging youth markets across a range of platforms Desirable CRM experience highly desirable Experience of creative writing and proof reading Video editing experience Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Essential Assessment Criteria
