48 Advanced Pricing 2. You can set up unlimited adjustment types that the system will try to apply for each customer who has been assigned the RETAIL adjustment schedule. Adjustment Name Adjustment Schedule (RETAIL) CLEAR (Clearance Sale) NEWPROD (New Product Promotion) ITMPROMO (Item Promotions) DEAL (Deal Allowance) 1. You attach a customer to an adjustment schedule, in this case RETAIL. Override Search Groups Item Customer Order 3. Each adjustment definition can be applied using its own selection of item, customer, or order detail groups. Pref Type 4. Each adjustment definition can have the system search through adjustment detail using its own user defined hierarchy. Adjustment Detail Adjustment Definition 6. Each adjustment definition can have its own quantity discounts or markups, free goods, or pricing formulas to apply. 5. Each adjustment definition can have its own rules on how it will print on invoices, whether it s for basket or order repricing, an override price based on quantity amount, or weight, and what G/L account can be offset using AAIs. 36 Release A7.3 (June 1996)

96 Advanced Pricing Preference Information How It All Works 1. Enter order for customer The system runs preferencing and finds that the line of business preference for 4242 is MFG. The system enters MFG in the Line of Business field of this sales order. 3. The system finds the pricing schedule assigned to the customer. 125 Processing Options for Update Sales Order Cost/Price Update Options: 1. Enter 1 to update Sales Order with the most current unit cost. If left blank, will not update cost. 2. Enter 1 to update the currency exchange rate. Please note that only the domestic amounts will be re-calculated, the foreign amounts will remain the same. If left blank the currency exchange rate will remain the same. 3. Enter 1 to update the inter-company currency exchange rate. Foreign amounts will not be re-calculated. If left blank, will not update the inter-company exchange rate. Update Price Options: 4. Enter 1 to recalculate the unit price of the sales order.
