3 Lesson 3 Welcome to Lesson 3 of the study course So far You should now have an account all set up with Amazon, meaning you can now start to earn money through Amazon s Seller Central and their FBA (Fulfilled By Amazon) service. Within this lesson, I m going to share with you the tools you need to help you run your business making your life much easier for you, and ensuring you only trade goods that offer you a decent profit return. There are lots of tools you can use some free and some that require a monthly subscription. First one that s free is Amazon s own Seller App that can be used on both iphones and Android phones. Just find it in your App store. 1. Amazon Seller App 3

4 This is a really good app and helps you run your Amazon business from your phone. It s particularly good for retail arbitrage. Let s say you are in Tesco, and you see an item that has been drastically reduced to clear. 4

5 Within the App, you have a scanner. 5

6 You simply scan the barcode of the product you ve found in Tesco (for example), and Amazon will display: The current cost of the product being sold on Amazon The fees Amazon will charge Your profit The sales ranking giving you an idea of how many are sold each day How many FBA sellers there are 6

9 You can list the product on Amazon from the App although it won t actually show up until Amazon receives the product at it s warehouse. So make sure you download this app onto your phone. 2. Tools For Sourcing Products Online There are a number of different tools/services to use to source products online. They are: Ø Sourcing Tools Ø Sourcing Services There are a number of different sourcing tools you can use But by far the best one here in the UK (this is from talking to a lot of people) is: FBA Wizard. It ll literally do everything for you. Let s say you want to sell Lego on Amazon. You enter the keyword Lego and FBA Wizard will scan hundreds of online outlets looking for the lowest prices and special offers for Lego. 9

10 It will then compare the prices with what is currently selling on Amazon, and tell you if there is a profit in the product, how much and what is the competition like. It really is invaluable. You can get a free 7-day trail and test it out. After that, it costs per month. But you ll easily make that back each month meaning FBA is a free service for you. And the time it ll save you to source products is priceless. Have a look at the website as there are a few videos explaining how the service works. 10

11 It goes without saying, that I use this service and everyday it finds me loads of products that I can then re-sell on Amazon for profit. If you want the whole sourcing process done for you You can have a service to look/scan for all the deals for you. This kind of service is called a Profit Sourcing Service. There are a few on the market, but for UK users, the one I use is: Profit Sourcery This too is an invaluable service. Profit Sourcery will scan 1000 s of products each day and present you with between 3-10 new products everyday. You then decide whether to take up their recommendations. 11

12 They break everything down for you too giving you all the information at your fingertips. I use this service along with FBA Wizard. And the number of opportunities presented to me each day amazes me. Here s how it works: 12

13 As with FBA Wizard, you have a 7-day test period. After that you can choose your membership. And you get very clear and easy to follow training. 13

14 3. Cashback Sites Using CashBack sites to purchase your sourced products enables you to save even more money on your purchases, resulting in more profit when sold on Amazon. There are two here in the UK that I use when purchasing sourced products. TopCashBack 14

15 It s a very simple process. It s free to join, and you simply purchase products through their link, the retailer pays TopCashBack commission, part of which is passed onto you. Another Cashback site you can use is: QuidCo Quidco works in exactly the same way as TopCashBack. Having two CashBack accounts enables you to take advantage of as many offers as are availableand you can compare which of the two sites gives you the best Cashback deals. Personally I use TopCashBack most of the time. 15

16 And to give you an idea of what you can earn from CashBack sites I ve earned over the past two months from CashBack. The more stock you purchase, the more CashBack you ll receive And it puts you ahead of the game in retail arbitrage. And finally 4. Browser Extension If you use Chrome or Firefox for your browser then you need to download: Keepa It s a Chrome extension that tracks prices on Amazon. It is another invaluable tool in your armoury and it s free. 16

17 The graphs and charts are amazing and help you make a really informed purchase decision for your stock. It ll show you the price history of products see how the product has sold overtime, the number sold, the best price it achieved. It also tells you how many sellers are selling a particular product and how long have they been selling the product for. If you combine Keppa graph and the calculator tool on FBA Wizard you basically have all the information for a perfect arbitrage business. Using those two pieces of software takes all the guesswork out of your product sourcing/purchasing. And it ll put you head and shoulders above many other FBA sellers. And the above are all the only tools you ll need to make this a very serious business venture. 17

19 Which you may also want to use. Personally, the ones I first mentioned are more than enough for me and with my profits already topping per week (at the time of writing) there s no need for me to look/use any other tools/apps.
