Step 1: Sign In! When viewing the catalogue, sign in by clicking on the icon at the top of the screen on the left. (Sign In) using your bidder number and password, which should have been ed to you prior to the auction:

Step 2: Enter your bidder number and password in the spaces provided and click the Sign In button. Note that your bidder number and password should have been ed to you when you registered and also before each auction. If you have not received these details or having trouble accessing them then drop us a line at info@abcrauctions.com.

Step 3: After signing in, the page that should appear is your personalised bidding page. When you first sign in for an auction this page will show two columns of five empty boxes where you can enter Lot Numbers and Bid amounts that you wish to place. You can of course bid from an individual Lot description at any time as well.

Step 4: When placing bids Green or Red messages at the top of this screen will immediately tell you of the status of those bids. The example above shows five bids that were successful in becoming the leading bids for the Lots listed.

Step 5: You can keep track of all your active bids on this one page - Bid Page. Thumbnail images will appear of each lot you have bid on. Columns on the right will clearly show if you are winning, tied for or been outbid on any particular Lot. From the example above you will see your maximum bid, the current high bid for the Lot and in this case as we are leading all the lots there is no additional information in the Enter $ to Raise Bid or Next Bid columns.

Step 6: If you have been outbid more information is displayed in these last two columns. Following our example from above you can now see a box appears in the Enter $ to Raise Bid column and the Next Bid column shows the minimum amount needed for another bid to be accepted. Note: this page does not update automatically while you are watching it. You will need to hit Refresh or Reload in your browser (Pressing the F5 key at the top of your keyboard also works for most computers).

Step 7: You can now raise your bid on as many (or as few) of these lots as you desire. If you do not wish to raise your bid on a particular item simply leave the box blank. After raising on the items you wish to, click any of the Enter Bids buttons that appear on the left of the screen. You will then receive a new message screen: Note: Lots that you are not leading produce a message in RED. Lots that you are leading produce a message in GREEN. In the example above, another bidders maximum bid is above ours for Lot 10 so we have simply raised them to $360. On Lot 20 we have tied the maximum bid BUT as the other bidder got in first we are not leading and need to bid again if we wish to take the lead on this Lot.

Step 7 continued: The information in the RED and GREEN messages at the top of the page is repeated in a slightly different way next to each Lot. Following this example again we see: Lot 10 we are not the high bidder (the current high bid is above our last bid and there is a box in the Enter $ to Raise Bid column and the minimum bid required in the Next Bid column; Lot 20 tells us that we have tied the high bid and has the box and minimum bid required amount like Lot 10; finally, Lot 30 shows us that we are the leading bidder with $30 up our sleeve above the current High Bid.

Important Notes! 1. At the end of an auction it can be very difficult to keep track of bids on multiple Lots using the Bid page is the easiest way to do so. 2. Everything you have placed bids on will appear on this page whether it is a single Lot or 100 Lots. 3. Towards the end of the auction, to keep track of how your bids are going you need to keep refreshing this Bid page. 4. As long as you keep refreshing the page you will know straight away if someone has outbid you. If this is right at the end of the auction you will have a five minute extension to react if you choose to just like a real live auction! Good Luck, and we hope you enjoy bidding with ABCR Auctions.
