3 Introducing New Features Acsellerate is introducing new features for three of the most commonly used Flex Reports: the Trend Report, the Variance Report and the Sales History Report. The enhancements will help you customise your reports to show far more detail than ever before, provide far more insight and information into key trends and also allow you to drill down to additional levels of detail in a much more flexible manner. Multi-Statistic Reporting You can now elect to run a report for multi statistics. No need to run three different reports to see the Sales, the Cost, and the Gross Profit. You can see all that in one report by selecting the statistics to display. Sales and Gap Analysis You can now run report to display sales, gaps or both for any of the entities available. If you want to see all the accounts with no sales in Jan/San, or sales rep with no Gross Profit in a specific area, you can now customise your reports to do so. You can either display the Sales only, which will display all the Accounts with activity in the statistic you selected, Gaps only to display Accounts with no activity in the statistic you selected, or both, and all your accounts will be displayed whether there is activity or not. Dynamic Drill Down In our standard reports you were able to click on the first column entity (account name or number if you selected show by accounts, Sales rep name or number if you selected Show by Sales rep ). You can now right click on the first column entity and a new window will offer you a choice on what entity to display next. If you run a report showing by accounts, you can right click on an account name or number and select Invoiced Sales Rep in the new menu, and the report will now display the Invoiced Sales rep for that account, keeping the customisation from the main report: if you were showing the gaps in Gross Profit for Accounts, the drilled down report will display the gaps in Gross Profit for the Invoiced Sales Rep for that account. Search Within Results You can now easily search for specific results after you run your report. This means that if you re viewing a report you ve just run by Account, for example, you can now easily locate specific Accounts that match your search allowing you to easily locate specific report results without having to redefine your filters and re-run the report. uk-acsellerate@ecisolutions.com Page 3

14 Frequently Asked Questions What is the difference between Sales and Gaps? When selecting Sales, the report will display results for those Show By entities which had transactions or invoice activity during the time selected time periods. When selecting Gaps, the report will display results for those Show By entities which had no transactions or invoice activity during the selected time periods. For example, if you wanted to show a list of customers and what they bought from you, you would select Sales. If you wanted to see a list of customers who hadn t bought anything from you during the selected time period, you would select Gaps. If you want to see a report that combines the display of sales and gaps, you would select Both. This same concept can be applied to any Show By entity for which you run the report and will also apply to drill down as well. You might, for example see an account with significant sales yet upon drilling down to see which Product Departments they may have purchased, see gaps where they hadn t purchased from a number of categories you offer. What happened to the old Trend, Variance and Sales History Reports? These new, enhanced reports have replaced the older Trend, Variance and Sales History Reports. What has happened to my existing saved My Reports? All of your previously existing My Reports continue to be accessible in the My Reports section of the Dashboard and Reports tabs of the application. Now when you select one of your My Reports it will launch one of the new reports and run it according to the parameters and filters you had saved before. All of the reporting functionality you had become accustomed to remains intact with your saved reports. How do I select statistics in the report? The Statistics drop down is used to select all the statistics you want to run the report for. Simply click on the dropdown and check the box next to the statistic. The order is which you select the statistic has no impact on the order they will display. What happens when I link to a report from an Alert or to get more detailed results? You will still be able to get the additional detail you re accustomed to, only now clicking any of these links will bring you to the new, enhanced reports instead of the old. uk-acsellerate@ecisolutions.com Page 14

15 What does it mean to display a report Column-wise? By choosing to display your report column-wise, you are choosing to have a separate column for each statistic in the report for each time period. Each column can be ranked by clicking on the header. You can see below that each of the statistics has its own column for each of the time periods displayed. When displaying a report in this fashion you can sort any of the columns in the report including the entity columns as well as any of the statistic columns. What does it mean to display a report Row-wise? By choosing to display your report Row-wise, you are choosing to have one column for each time period, and a row for each statistic in the report. You can see below that each of the statistics has its own row for each of the Show By entities in the report. With this display, you can only rank the result by the Show By or Show By # column. In the example below, you can sort by Accounts or Accounts #, but not by Statistics or any of the time period columns. uk-acsellerate@ecisolutions.com Page 15

16 Can I sort my report? You can sort any of the columns when you are in Column-wise view by simply clicking on the column header to alternate between ascending and descending order. When in Row-wise view, you can only sort by the Show By or Show By # columns. We are excited to help you utilise these new features!
