2 Job Profile JOB TITLE GROUP TEAM LOCATION RESPONSIBLE TO Digital Marketing Executive Global Fundraising Individual Giving Teddington Senior Digital Marketing Analyst PART 1 JOB DESCRIPTION 1. PURPOSE OF THE TEAM Responsible for Tearfund s UK individual giving fundraising strategy, overseeing the research, development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of our fundraising strategy; ensuring that the strategy delivers profitable acquisition of new donors, regular giving, strong retention, and cash generation in line with the organisation s requirements for restricted and unrestricted income. 2. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To deliver best practice digital marketing and provide solid and reasoned analytical reports across all digital channels. Your work will be split between continuing and improving Tearfund s digital presence through online marketing and providing cross channel insights into supporter web behaviour and online traffic. 3. GENERIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To support in the growing digital presence of Tearfund through online marketing and digital analytics 4. PARTICIPATION IN THE SPIRITUAL LIFE OF TEARFUND To attend corporate weekly Staff Prayers on Wednesdays, to hear of Tearfund s work and to spend time in prayer and worship together. To lead or participate in spiritual sessions of prayer and biblical reflection within the Team / Group To be committed to Tearfund s Missions, Values and Beliefs statement. To be committed to actively working and living in accordance with Tearfund s Christian beliefs. Responsible for maintaining own spiritual development. 5. POSITION IN ORGANISATION Line management: Reports to the Senior Digital Marketing Analyst Delivers digital marketing and analytics Member of the Individual Giving team Works closely with other Tearfund teams as a member of the Tearfund s cross-team digital group, particularly the Global Brand and Communications Team, Marketing Development Team, Direct Marketing Team, Youth and Emerging Generation Team, Media Team, Campaigns Team, as well as external contacts

3 6. SCOPE OF JOB To work together with the Senior Digital Marketing Analyst to contribute to the concept of future campaigns. Encourage the use of digital marketing as a practice within Tearfund Create, build & distribute engaging digital advertising through multiple online channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, Bing and others Create & distribute analytical reports and insights regarding Tearfund s digital presence, including website behaviour, marketing tactics, campaign performance, social media and others Support to the development of digital KPIs and targets Perform testing on advertising creatives and audiences to find best tactics for each situation 7. DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES General Provide support to the Senior Digital Marketing Analyst Provide teams within the Global Fundraising Group and other teams within Tearfund with digital marketing and analytics reports Resolve day to day issues, escalating problems (where appropriate) to the Senior Digital Marketing Analyst Deal with external clients and suppliers on occasion Digital Marketing Deliver industry best practice digital marketing according to strategy Develop creatives for online advertising under the oversight of the Global Brand and Social Media teams Provide digital marketing services for internal teams looking to promote their content online Proactively test and improve live campaigns by means of audience selection, creative development & other methods Provide advertising through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, Bing & other campaign relevant channels. Provide internal stakeholders with advice about best performing creatives, audiences and channels for their advertising campaigns Improving acquisition through natural, unpaid methods (SEO and link building) Identifying possible improvements in landing pages to increase conversion rates Reporting & Analysis Provide information and reports to support Tearfund s digital activity Use Google Analytics, HotJar and other technologies to provide reports on our web traffic and behaviour Use Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics & other social tools to provide insights on our social behaviour Provide reports on the performance of digital marketing campaigns and what we could improve or do differently next time Work with data to spot trends and anomalies Deliver recurring reports (fortnightly) to senior members of the Global Fundraising Group and other stakeholders Reporting on supporter behaviour via Tearfund s database Communicate relevant findings with stakeholders, channel managers and the organisation Set up dashboards for relevant stakeholders around the organisation to provide them with stats for their campaigns. Trends & Personal Development Keep up to date with latest trends and developments surrounding both digital marketing and analytics Experiment with new ideas and channels to improve Tearfund s online presence Responsible for personal development and continual growth in knowledge Occasional out of hours cover for social channels

4 PART 2 PERSON SPECIFICATION JOB TITLE: Digital Marketing Executive ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Degree or equivalent level of knowledge EXPERIENCE Demonstrable experience of running advertising campaigns on social media channels Experience running PPC campaigns on Google Experience testing, monitoring and improving digital marketing Analysis and reporting in Google Analytics DESIRABLE Education in Digital Marketing or related subjects Google Analytics IQ Google AdWords Certified Facebook Blueprint Certifications Managing campaigns to budget Advertising on Bing Setting up dashboards for stakeholders Google Trends & Search Console Experience managing a Google Grants account Experience of SEO Working with CMS SKILLS/ ABILITIES Strong spreadsheet skills Creative eye for strong digital campaigns Writing copy for digital marketing campaigns Able to switch between tasks and maintain focus Image / Photo Editing Experience in data manipulation, forecasting and attribution Knowledge of HTML Above average mathematical proficiency PERSONAL QUALITIES Commitment to Tearfund and sympathy with its ethos Biblical concern for the poor Team worker Ability to prioritise and cope with heavy workload Good communicator Self-motivated/initiative Analytical Problem solver Attention to detail Reliable Good at networking

5 TEARFUND INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS JOB TITLE: Digital Marketing Executive OFFICE HOURS: Monday to Friday 9.00am pm with one hour for lunch. 35 hour working week ANNUAL LEAVE - FULL YEAR: 25 days pro-rata + statutory bank hols + additional day at Christmas SICK LEAVE SCHEME: Based on length of service NON-CONTRIBUTORY PENSION SCHEME: Tearfund will contribute 10% of your salary to your pension. All staff are contractually enrolled onto the Tearfund group pension scheme NEW STAFF SERVICE: 6 months probationary period with a 3 month review Grade: 5 SALARY: 27,600 per annum
