SERVICE Thermoforming is till now like a Black Box v Thermoforming is an open process v Machine, Tool, Plug, Sheet and Marketprice! causes particular settings they are depentend! v for proper setting a TF-System, you need good Informations, Knowledges and a good Intuition to get good and exact the same products as last time v A lot of disturbances may have an effect on thermoforming v Wrong settings occur due to Disturbances or due to insufficient notations or Intuition v You will find the varying result in the cardboard box v And You have to control the output very careful 2

SERVICE So far v the insufficient recording of process data is (was) one of the the great disadvantages of thermoforming. v The product quality was adjusted by the production department, dependent on the process parameters, which mostly are based on the technician s intuition and experience and disturbances leads to varying product Quality 3

SERVICE Conclusion v It is a really Sisiphus-Work to control millions of products v Better you try to control the process as the injectionmoulder do since a long time! v It is also a Sisiphus-Work to capture the process data and analyse the dependent relationships v First of all you need a tool to monitor and record the data (process and product data) which will able you to look into the running process 4
