5 Introduction This document describes new functionality for the software release for RL2000, RL5000, and FT5000 with both the XScale and X2 controllers for Australia market. The differences described are from version Triton Systems Page 5 of 44 June 28, 2010

7 Management Functions Surcharge Screen Configuration This software release adds the capability to configure a surcharge for balance enquiry transactions. Surcharge Configuration The surcharge configuration dialog in Management > Terminal Configuration > ISO/Surcharge Properties has been changed to add the capability to configure both withdrawal and

10 Surcharge Configuration The surcharge configuration dialog in Management > Terminal Configuration > ISO/Surcharge Properties has been changed to add the capability to configure both withdrawal and balance surcharge amounts independently: Surcharge Properties Dialog Selecting option 1 or 2 on the above dialog will display a screen to allow enabling/disabling the appropriate surcharge as well as set the default surcharge amount for the specified transaction type: Triton Systems Page 10 of 44 June 28, 2010

12 ISO Table Configuration for Surcharges Transaction surcharges can be blocked/configured for specific card numbers. This is accomplished by adding an entry for each card number bin desired in the ISO Properties table in Management > Terminal Configuration > ISO/Surcharge Properties > Add New. 13 Surcharge Properties Dialog Add ISO After accepting the ISO Number entry and returning to the main screen of the Add New dialog, press option 2 repeatedly to cycle through the available Actions. The following actions are related to surcharging for specified cards: Block Surcharge: Don t display the surcharge screen to the customer. Use Defined Surcharge: Override the default withdrawal surcharge amount with the amount configured for the specified card. Use Defined Balance Surcharge: Override the default balance surcharge amount with the amount configured for the specified card. Triton Systems Page 13 of 44 June 28, 2010

Customer Transactions Onscreen Balance The presentation of the Onscreen Balance option will occur immediately after the customer has selected an account, or (if account selection is disabled )

The customer will be offered the opportunity to view their balance information onscreen, or to have a printed receipt. If the receipt printer is offline, only the option to view balance information onscreen will be presented. Customer Surcharge Screen For balance enquiry transactions, the presentation of the balance surcharge screen will occur immediately after the customer has responded to the onscreen balance option, or

For withdrawal transactions, if the Beginning surcharge screen is enabled in management functions the surcharge notice will be displayed immediately after language selection, or (if language selection is disabled) just after PIN entry. Note that if the receipt printer is online we will offer the customer the option of receiving a printed receipt. If the receipt printer is offline, we will not offer the printed receipt option. 25 ATM Fee Notification for Reversals If an ATM Fee has been applied to the transaction and a reversal occurs, whether the ATM Fee will be printed will depend on the result of the reversal transaction: Reversal Succeeded: No ATM Fee will be printed on the receipt. Reversal Failed/Declined: The ATM Fee will be printed on the receipt. Reversals Balance Enquiry Transactions For Balance Enquiry transactions, the ATM will reverse the surcharge amount in the following scenarios: A surcharge was presented to the customer and a communications-related error prevents the successful completion of the balance enquiry transaction. A surcharge was presented to the customer but the receipt printer fails to print the transaction receipt. If the onscreen balance option is enabled the ATM will prompt the customer to view their balance details onscreen. If the customer declines the option to view their balance information onscreen, a reversal will be performed. A surcharge was presented to the customer but the receipt printer fails to print the transaction receipt. If the onscreen balance option is disabled, a reversal will be performed. ATM Fee Refund Message (Balance Enquiries Only) If the balance enquiry reversal is successful, the ATM will display the following message to the customer before printing the transaction receipt: Triton Systems Page 25 of 44 June 28, 2010

34 Reversals Withdrawal Transactions Withdrawal transaction reversals will be sent as currently implemented, but if a surcharge was applied to the transaction, the surcharge amount will be sent to the host processor in the reversal request for both full (no currency dispensed) and partial (some currency dispensed) reversals.
