1 September 2016 ABC Business Magazines Reprting Standards (UK) Changes have been agreed t the ABC Business Magazine and Multi-Platfrm Reprting Standards. We have updated the latest Reprting Standards t incrprate these changes and yu can nw view r dwnlad these frm ur website Have a suggestin r a query abut a rule? 2 1. Optinal Analyses This change allws the media wner, with ABC s agreement, t include additinal ptinal analyses n their ABC Certificate. The analyses must be either derived frm data n the certificate r f data clsely cnnected with it. An example wuld be additinal infrmatin abut the prducts included in paid subscriptin bundles and/r the bundle prices. ABC will review the infrmatin and cnfirm if it can be audited and reprted r nt, tgether with any additinal csts. Amendment Shaded text belw shws new text added REPORTED DATA [extract] 6. Optinal analyses a) Yu may request t reprt additinal analyses, derived frm (r clsely cnnected with) data reprted n the certificate, subject t the fllwing: i) The data t be reprted n the certificate is, in ur pinin: Auditable Related t the prduct being certified Albeit reprting different infrmatin, is in keeping with the requirements fr data and evidence in relatin t existing relevant Reprting Standards. Fr example: If the breakut is an analysis f subscriptin bundles, we wuld expect the evidence levels t be in line with that already in place fr subscriptins. ii) We will review the request and cnfirm whether we agree it can be reprted, hw it will be reprted and any requirements in relatin t the audit timing r prcess. Nte: There may be additinal csts assciated with the preparatin f the certificate and audit f the additinal data.

3 2. Event Audience (Multi-Platfrm Certificate/Reprt) This change ffers media wners the ability t reprt a simple event audience figure n their Multi- Platfrm certificate/reprt. The attendance figure will cmprise peple that have attended, whether paying r free, with them being cunted nce n each day they attend. Amendment New sectin added t the Multi-Platfrm Standards as fllws: EVENT AUDIENCE DEFINITION Ttal attendance at an event. PRINCIPLES 1. The event must be eligible t reprt under the Reprting Standards 2. Individuals have attended the event 3. Evidence t supprt the claim must be retained and made available fr a minimum perid REQUIREMENTS 1. The event must be eligible t reprt under the Reprting Standards a) Entry t the event is cntrlled in a manner that recrds attendance and enables it t be verified in accrdance with these Reprting Standards. 2. Individuals have attended the event a) Attendance can be claimed nce fr each persn attending the event n each day f the event that yu have auditable evidence they attended.

4 3. Evidence t supprt the claim must be retained and made available fr a minimum perid a) Yu must retain and be able t prvide: i. Evidence supprting the number f attendees claimed e.g. payment details, registratin details, scan n entry etc., including: - In the case f paid entry ticket payment recrds - In the case f free entry minimum cntact details fr attendees must be captured as fllws: Name (first name and last name) Either address r pstal address (fr de-duplicatin purpses within each day, ne address cntact methd must be cllected cnsistently acrss all recrds). ii. Any ther recrds relevant t the claim. b) Recrds supprting the claim must be retained until we have cmpleted the audit f the certificate fr the subsequent event unless we agree therwise. There is an exceptin fr registratin dcuments, tickets and vuchers cllected in paper frm if used, which may be dispsed f nce we have cnfirmed the audit is cmplete. REPORTING Yu will reprt Event Audience as fllws, which will be reprted n the ABC Multi-Platfrm Certificate/Reprt fr each ccurrence f the event: 1. The event name, date(s) and venue 2. As a minimum the Event Audience (being the sum f each days attendance) 3. Awards Seat Sales (Multi-Platfrm Certificate/Reprt) This new metric allws media wners t reprt seat sales fr Awards events n the Multi-Platfrm Certificate/Reprt, where further details f attendees are nt available. The infrmatin reprted will include details f the Awards event, number f seats purchased and the number f purchasers.

5 Amendment New sectin added t the Multi-Platfrm Standards as fllws: AWARDS SEAT SALES DEFINITION Seats purchased by a third party fr an Awards. PRINCIPLES 1. Seats are purchased by a third party frm the Awards rganiser (r their agent) REQUIREMENTS 1. Seats are purchased by a third party frm the Awards rganiser (r their agent) a. Yu must be able t prvide evidence f the number f seats purchased and the number f purchasers fr the Awards. REPORTING Yu will reprt Award Seat Sales as fllws, which will be reprted n the ABC Multi-Platfrm Certificate r Reprt: 1. By Award, including name(s) and date(s) 2. By number f seats sld 3. By number f third party purchasers In additin yu may ptinally reprt the aggregated data f separate Awards included n the Multi-Platfrm Certificate/Reprt. The infrmatin will include: 1. Name f the aggregated Awards (this shuld reasnably reflect the cnstituent awards) 2. Aggregated number f seats sld 3. Aggregated number f third party purchasers

Reprting f Scial Media (Multi-Platfrm Certificate/Reprt) Currently the publisher must reprt tw mandatry metrics: The metric cunt n the last wrking day f each mnth cvered by the certificate/reprt The average f the metric cunts n the last wrking day f each mnth In rder t simplify the reprting, the abve metrics are nw ptinal and there is just ne mandatry metric, which is: The metric cunt fr the last wrking day f the last mnth cvered by the certificate/reprt E.g. Jan-June certificate reprts last wrking day in June Amendment Shaded text belw shws next text added and struck-thrugh text has been remved: SOCIAL MEDIA DEFINITION The measurement f a prduct s defined Scial Media metric(s). PRINCIPLES 1. Prir ntificatin f Scial Media metric(s) details t ABC 2. Scial Media metric(s) reprted separately REQUIREMENTS 1. Prir ntificatin f Scial Media metric(s) details t ABC. a) Yu must btain ABC s agreement in advance that yur Scial Media metric(s) is/are capable f being recrded and checked. This will include: i) The particular Scial Media metric(s) t be certified ii) The specific prduct t be certified. Fr example by URL 2. Scial Media metric(s) reprted separately a) The Scial Media metric cunt will be that recrded n the last wrking day f each a mnth. The audit will nt verify the authenticity f the riginal surce data included in the cunt.

7 b) Data fr different prducts r Scial Media will nt be aggregated c) Scial Media metrics will be reprted n an ABC Multi-Platfrm Certificate REPORTING Yu will reprt Scial Media as fllws, which will be reprted n the ABC Multi-Platfrm Certificate/Reprt: 1. By each specific prduct shwing: a) The URL (r if nt available the name identifying the prduct). Fr example: ABC Tday App b) The Scial Media type. Fr example: Facebk, Line c) The Scial Media metric. Fr example: Facebk Likes, Twitter Fllwers d) The metric cunt. 2. As a minimum, the metric cunt n the last wrking day f the last mnth cvered by the Certificate. 32. As an ptin: a) By metric cunt n the last wrking day f each mnth cvered by the Certificate. And/r b)3 The average f the metric cunts n the last wrking day f each mnth cvered by the Certificate. Nte: If yu are reprting a particular Scial Media metric fr the first time this may cmmence part way thrugh the perid cvered by the certificate.
