1 This year s education sessions offer more opportunities than ever to expand your knowledge, implement change in your organization, and empower your team. MONDAY Our exciting agenda kicks off on Monday, January 25, with a full day dedicated to thought-provoking conversation and idea sharing. Kick off your conference experience with keynote addresses from Jim Broering, AcuSport President and COO, and Eric Wilson of Tempur-Sealy International, Inc. Jim will share how we can partner together as retailers and manufacturers to lead the way forward to a successful future. Eric Wilson will explain how the mattress industry improved communication and used data sharing to resolve some of the same supply chain challenges present in the firearms industry. The conversation will continue with an interactive afternoon featuring panel sessions of AcuSport retailers and manufacturers who will share how the CustomerLink Exchange program has made a significant impact on their business. EDUCATION SESSIONS Located in The Academy Attend engaging presentations led by subject matter experts on a wide variety of topics, including time management and delegation, options for securing financing, the emergence of omnichannel retailing, using social media, OSHA regulatory compliance, legislative updates for 2016 and more. PANEL DISCUSSIONS Located in The Hub Gain valuable insights from your fellow AcuSport retailers and participate in discussions on optimizing your range, the importance of retail data, and the benefits of CustomerLink Exchange to buyers. FINANCIAL CONSULTING AcuSport s Chief Financial Officer John Flanagan will demonstrate inventory models that will increase your turns and cash flow. These sessions will be held in both The Academy and The Hub. In the Finance and Risk Management area, you can schedule a postconference appointment with John to get a personalized financial review. 2 KEYNOTES 9:00 10:30 AM Leading Change for the Firearms Industry Jim Broering, President and COO, AcuSport Corporation Jim Broering will officially kick off the with a keynote address that will set the stage for this year s conference. Jim will provide a state of the union that explains the retail and demographic changes in our industry and how we can capitalize on the power of independent retailers to be successful in the future. Learn how you can lead the way forward through your partnership with AcuSport. Both manufacturers and retailers are encouraged to attend this session. 10:45 12:00 PM Exciting Things Happen When You Embrace Change Eric Wilson, Tempur-Sealy International, Inc. If the changes in the firearms industry are keeping you up at night, rest assured; the mattress industry faced very similar challenges and successfully partnered retailers with manufacturers to improve communication and share data. This led to improved fill rates, inventory turns, and profits. Eric Wilson of Tempur-Sealy International will discuss the value of communication between retailers and manufacturers and how the mattress industry embraced change together. Both manufacturers and retailers are encouraged to attend this session. 2

Through AcuSport s CustomerLink Exchange program, retailers and manufacturers are partnering together to solve these challenges by sharing retail information that reflects the voice of the consumer and provides guidance to improve production planning. In this panel discussion, AcuSport retailers will share how they have integrated the CustomerLink Exchange program into their businesses and managed organizational change. Manufacturers will discuss how they are supporting the CLX program and how they managed change within their organization. Manufacturers will also share how CLX has provided a better understanding of the independent retailer market and how the information obtained through the program has improved product development, provided valuable promotional planning and tracking insights, and advised their production planning. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT Creating an Accurate Job Description Sandy Musgrave, Training and Development Manager, AcuSport Corporation In this workshop, we will review the key components of accurate job descriptions and provide a list of do s and don ts. After this session you will have a complete job description for at least one role within your business which can then be used as a template for other job descriptions. Be sure to bring details about positions in your store for review. STORE OPERATIONS CustomerLink Exchange Portal User Forum ToolBox Solutions Staff The CustomerLink Exchange online portal offers a wealth of industry data that can be used to analyze trends and set benchmarks for your business. Our partners at ToolBox Solutions will be available to offer hands-on training and demonstrate how to create custom dashboards to display the metrics that matter to you most. CustomerLink Exchange Support and Implementation Lyndsie McGuire, CustomerLink Specialist, AcuSport RTG Matt Steckelberg, Software Design Manager, AcuSport RTG AcuSport Retail Technology Group (RTG) staff members will provide a technical assessment of how to implement the CustomerLink Exchange program using RTG s AXIS and V6 software. In addition, the staff will review the benefits of CLX specifically for AXIS and V6 users. Using Your Point-of-Sale System to Better Manage Inventory Tonya Abrego, Electronic Business Manager, AcuSport Corporation Dan Compeau, Retail Solutions Manager, AcuSport Corporation This workshop session offers individualized learning for basic and advanced point-of-sale users. Basic users will learn how to manage purchase orders and establish minimum and maximum stocking levels. For advanced users, we will explain how seasonality affects minimum and maximum stocking levels and how to manage products from multiple suppliers. 4

In this session, you ll learn how to get started making money through training, how to market your classes inside and outside the store, and how to merchandise product in your classes. You will leave this session with great ideas and tools for making your training classes more profitable. Facilitated by Steve Reed, Vice President of Marketing, AcuSport Corporation Steve Reed will be joined by AcuSport retailers to discuss the importance of analyzing marketing data to evaluate customer demand. 8 KEYNOTE SPEAKER BIOS Mr. Jim Broering is the President and COO of AcuSport Corporation. A veteran of the management consulting industry who previously advised AcuSport, Jim s vision and extensive business knowledge have played a major role in expanding the business including the addition of retail management and point-of-sale operational tools through AcuSport s Retail Technology Group. Jim believes in the ability of independent retailers to impact the future of our industry. Mr. Eric Wilson is the Director of Global Demand Planning and Sales & Operations Planning with Tempur-Sealy International. Eric has exceptional abilities to align processes, develop collaboration, and has excelled in numerous areas of supply chain. He has an established record of significantly improving and developing business and demand forecasting processes, managing inventory turns while maintaining service, utilizing Demand Driven end-to-end collaboration, and implementing S&OP and supply chain process improvements. Eric is an IBF Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF). 8
