2 >> The Company and its development The firm of nopa instruments Medizintechnik GmbH was founded in March Where do we stand today? As a manufacturer and supplier of surgical and endoscopic instruments and equipment, our company has meanwhile built an exceptionally fine reputation for high quality and reasonable prices. Our well-trained employees offer you a totally flawless service, underpinned by a warehouse stocked to an excellent standard, with a value of between eight and ten million euros. Even among our competitors, our cataloguing system is regarded as one of the best. Tuttlingen, the hub of the instrument manufacturing industry, has around 400 suppliers of surgical instruments. We are proud of the fact that we are among the five biggest suppliers. Our development culminated in 2002 with the construction of an elaborate administrative building with spacious work areas for all employees.

3 Our most important trade fairs We present our product range at MEDICA in Düsseldorf, at Arab Health in Dubai and at Medic Asia. In addition to these three main exhibitions, we attend other local trade fairs around the world. By using our marking laser, we are also able to produce special inscriptions if you require them. This service in particular and our exceptional availability of stock at attractive prices have made us one of the leading manufacturers of OEM products in the USA and especially here in Tuttlingen to the trade and manufacturers. 6 >> Quality Assurance All instruments are subjected to intensive testing in our Quality Control Department. By means of a visual inspection, the shape, outline surface and important dimensions are checked on the basis of samples and drawings. The basis of reliable functioning and maximum durability is the hardness and corrosion resistance of an instrument. We determine the hardness by means of precision measuring techniques, in accordance with the standard DIN Part 1, in Rockwell C (HRC) and we test the corrosion resistance with the traditional boiling test. Only instruments which meet the requirements of the DIN standard are accepted. A final functional test, like, for example, the testing of the cutting capability of scissors, biopsy forceps, bone rongeur forceps etc., the elasticity test for clamps and needle holders, the fitting test for our scalpel handles and blades, the test for the opening width and clamping of tweezers etc. guarantee customer satisfaction. In special cases we also carry out tests relating to autoclavability or materials.
