2 INTRODUCTION Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) Queensland division is excited to be staging the 2015 Disability Symposium in Townsville on 21, 22 & 23 May at Jupiters Townsville Hotel & Casino, which is a major event on the OTA Continuing Professional Development calendar for We invite you to consider the sponsorship opportunities offered herein to support and highlight this growing profession while also promoting your business. PROGRAM This major event promises to attract occupational therapists nationwide. The three-day symposium will include pre-symposium workshops on day one, followed by a program covering a diverse range of occupational therapy practice in the field of disability and trade displays on days two and three. Day 1 21 May Pre Symposium Workshops A variety of pre-symposium workshops will be held on day one. NB. Trade Exhibitors do not exhibit on day one. Days 2 & 3 22 & 23 May 2015 Disability Symposium The two day symposium program will feature prominent keynote speakers and multiple invited speaker sessions covering a diverse range of occupational therapy practice in the field of disability. 4 PROMOTING THE EVENT OTA will use a wide range of tools to market and promote the 2015 Disability Symposium throughout Australia and internationally. WEBSITE Used as a pivotal marketing tool, this provides the key source of information about the symposium and is constantly updated and refreshed to reflect the latest news. It can be accessed by occupational therapists and associates from Queensland, Australia and internationally. ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTERS & MAGAZINES Sent via to all members bi-monthly. DIRECT MARKETING - Monthly e-bulletins will be sent to past and current members and OTA associates and these will provide general information, latest news, key dates and program and speaker details. Direct marketing tools engage the target audience in the activities leading up to the symposium. ASSISTANCE FROM ALLIED HEALTH ORGANISATIONS Other associations have been engaged to promote the symposium via their websites, as well as targeted communications to their members. This ensures the symposium program reaches a broader audience of health professionals who have an interest in the program topics. MARKETING COLLATERAL Branded electronic and printed materials are used to endorse the website and campaign, highlighting key activities such as registration, promotions. These will be shared via direct s, the symposium webpage and delegate packs. PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES Planned for related events held leading up to the symposium. This includes promotion at professional development events held nationally and at state level, through the distribution of marketing collateral and third party publicity. This provides another access to the target market and the opportunity to keep the Symposium `top of mind. SOCIAL MEDIA OTA will regularly discuss the 2015 Disability Symposium on Facebook and Twitter services. Leverage your Investment! You can help us increase awareness of the symposium by including information in your regular marketing activities. Public and Product Liability Insurance IMPORTANT:- All exhibitors are required to have adequate Public and Product Liability Insurance, and provide a copy of the Certificate of Currency to us prior to the event date. The cover is based on a limit of indemnity to the value of $10,000,000 or above for damages or injury caused to third parties/visitors on or in the vicinity of their exhibition. Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation, a fee of 50% of total fees applies for a cancellation prior to 1st March. No refunds will be made for cancellations after this date. After sponsorship agreements have been confirmed and accepted, a reduction of the sponsorship type is considered a cancellation. 6. Sponsors or Exhibitors are not permitted to assign, sublet or apportion the whole or any part of their sponsorship / booked space unless prior consent in writing from OTA is provided. 7. Privacy Statement: In order to assist with your participation, your organisation and contact details may be shared with our suppliers and contractors, and be included in participant lists and for the information distribution in respect to other related events organised by OTA. Public Liability insurance to a minimum of AUD$10 million must be taken out by each Exhibitor at their own expense. Discounts or refunds for any facilities not used or required will not be provided. 10. If your organisation intends to build a custom stand, you must advise the full details and stand dimensions to OTA by no later than 1 st March Construction of customised display areas or booths requires the approval of OTA and venue management. Any construction that occupies space outside the specified space as indicated on the floor plan, will incur a pro-rata fee. 11.
