1 HOW TO SET UP YOUR CSULB PARKING ACCOUNT AND PURCHASE A PERMIT This guide shows newly hired CSULB staff and faculty members how to use the online Parking Services website to set up a parking account, enter vehicle information, purchase a parking permit, and authorize payroll deduction. Log into CSULB Single Sign On and Access the CSULB Parking System 1. Visit the CSULB Single Sign-On system at sso.csulb.edu. Log in by entering your nine-digit Beach ID number and password, and clicking the Sign In button. 2. CSULB Parking button. The CSULB Online Parking Services system opens. 3. Click the Get Permits button on the CSULB Online Parking Services webpage that displays.

2 Select a Parking Permit, Register Vehicles to Your Permit, and Pay for Your Permit 1. After logging into the online Parking System, select a parking permit as follows: IF YOUR ARE A NEWLY HIRED STAFF MEMBER choose, as appropriate, from the following: Employee Permit Campus Lots Annual: Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit in full. Employee Permit Payroll Deduction Foundation Lot Year Round: Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit through monthly payroll deduction AND park in Foundation Lot. NOTE: Only staff members who work primarily in the CSULB Research Foundation Building Employee Permit Payroll Deduction Campus Lots Year Round: Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit through monthly payroll deduction. Foundation Lot Permit Annual: Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit in full. NOTE: Only staff members who work primarily in the CSULB Research Foundation Building

3 IF YOUR ARE A NEWLY HIRED FACULTY MEMBER choose, as appropriate, from the following: Employee Permit Campus Lots - Academic Year OR Annual: Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit in full. Employee Permit Campus Lots (Semester only): Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit in full, one semester at a time. Employee Permit Payroll Deduction Foundation Lot Year Round: Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit through monthly payroll deduction and park in the Foundation Lot. NOTE: Only Faculty members who work primarily in the CSULB Research Foundation Building Employee Permit Payroll Deduction (10 months) Campus Lots Unit 3 AY: Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit through monthly payroll deduction for the academic year only. Employee Permit Payroll Deduction Campus Lots Year Round: Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit through monthly payroll deduction. Foundation Lot Permit Annual: Select if you prefer to pay for your parking permit in full. NOTE: Only Faculty members who work primarily in the CSULB Research Foundation Building

4 2. After selecting a parking permit, check the box indicating you have read and agree to the CSULB Parking Regulations, and click the Next button. 3. Register your vehicle by entering the seven-character License Plate Number (or the last seven VIN digits), and State. Enter other, optional information including vehicle Year, Make, Model, Color and Style. Then, click the Next button

5 4. Review vehicles that will be attached to your permit. Click the Add Vehicle button to repeat the process, as needed, to add all vehicles you may drive to the CSULB campus. After reviewing vehicles attached to your permit and adding vehicles, as needed, click the Next button to complete the purchase. 5. On the View Cart page, review your purchase, and when you are ready to checkout, click the Next button.

On the Payment Information page: a) review your purchase details, b) if you are opting for monthly payroll deduction, check the box stating you have read and agree with the statement about the State Controller s Office deducting parking fees from your pre-tax salary and wages as specified by your collective bargaining unit, and c) click the Checkout button. 7. Select your payment method. NOTE: Credit Card payments incur a 2.75% service charge. Then, click the Continue Checkout button. 8. Enter your credit card or electronic check information. Complete all fields noted with an asterisk. Click the Continue Checkout button.

7 9. On the View Cart page, review your purchase before checking out. Check the box stating you understand the transaction includes a non-refundable service charge. Click the Continue Checkout button. 10. Confirm your banking information is correct. Click the Submit Payment button. This action completes the purchase transaction and produces a receipt. 11. You may print the receipt for your records. Then click the Logout button to end your session. YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE PERMIT PURCHASE AND PAYMENT TRANSACTION.
