2 Introduction EASY GUIDE ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps include ThingWorx Controls Advisor, ThingWorx Asset Advisor, and ThingWorx Production Advisor (coming soon). These Apps are easy-to-deploy, pre-configured, role-based modules that provide remote monitoring of assets for real-time visibility into factory production and maintenance. Before proceeding, please ensure that you have ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps installed and connected to KEPServerEX. For help, refer to the Configuring ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps Easy Guide. In this guide, you will learn how to: Configure asset performance View your lines and assets Follow the Steps Step 1: Configure asset performance Launch ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps. Click Administration and Configuration. Next, click Manage Resources. Page 2 of 6 ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps for Production Managers

3 EASY GUIDE Select an asset, and then click the pencil icon. In the left-hand menu, click Performance Metrics. A Parameters for Performance Calculation table will appear on the right (you may need to scroll down to view it). In this table, you can define count values to calculate the asset s performance and quality. The performance indicator thresholds are calculated as follows: Availability: Runtime over the planned production time. For this calculation, you need to have defined the status of the resource; please refer to the ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps for Maintenance Easy Guide for assistance. Quality: Good count over the total count. Performance: Total count per runtime over the ideal run rate. OEE: Availability multiplied by performance multiplied by quality. 4 EASY GUIDE For any of these values, you may browse for valid tag values or enter numeric values directly. You can also enter mathematical expressions, using operators such as + or /. In the Good Count text box, enter the tag name or click the tag icon and navigate to the appropriate tag from KEPServerEX. For the purposes of this guide, we will use the example.opf file from the Configuring ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps Easy Guide and a tag named KEPServerEX.Local:Ch1. Asset1.Good Quantity. You may also enter mathematical expressions. For the Total Count, add good quantity and bad quantity: KEPServerEX. Local:Ch1.Asset1.Good Quantity + KEPServerEX.Local:Ch1.Asset1.Bad Quantity Set the Ideal run rate to 8. This indicates that the machine will make 10 parts per minute. 5 EASY GUIDE Step 2: View your lines and assets Click the grid icon located in the upper left to switch to a different utility. Click Production Advisor to see an overview of all your lines. You can click on a line to see more details, or expand it to view the details of each associated asset. Congratulations!
